THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Get free stock OTK knuckles from Carmelo. My steering was high enough.

I linked a D44 aussie for sale with a 4:10+ carrier for $150.

TNT truss is ghey. Just get a bracket kit from someone if you don't want to make your own.

Alloys aren't 100% necessary on 35s as long as you have spares. I went through a set every few months while wheeling 2-3 times a month.
Warn Premium or go home.

Ruffstuff cover FTW. Though I'm beginning to like the ARB covers.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

at least someone understands why i want to throw 1600lbs of axle under a yj

1600?!?! IIRC a stock rock is somewhere around 900+. Add some brackets and stuff to them and I could easily see 2000 just in axles before any lightening work is done.

Knuckles from Carmelo sound nice, OTK is good enough im leaning against hi-steer. ill have to look back for that locker link.

Obvs planning on warn hubs, duh. alloys aren't a necessity but id like them.

and whats wrong with the TNT kit? comes with every bracket necessary and you just burn her on?

Or flanges.

He said lockouts.

They were awesome on the street too. I could feel the difference. Pinion angle becomes less of an issue.

Several people have complained of poor welds on the TNT kit and there was one guy that had the welds fail on his.

That and they are really overpriced. $400+ with all the factory mounts on them.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My 14b is 450-500 lbs without brakes. You really think its the same weight?

I find that hard to believe considering yours is also narrower than most.

That and a front Ford HP60 comes in ~550 lbs.

EDIT: 14B bible says 450 without brake drums. Rear rockwell is roughly 500lbs without brake drums according to that guy. I could see that being possible.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hmm.. looks like ill have to pick up a welder and figure out my own truss and shit. we'll see where the yellow brick road leads me

Same exact axle as a SRW, jsut the hubs are spaced differently to give it the narrower mounting width.

Ive carried it before fully complete less brakes, I have every right to claim its 450-500 lbs :D

 I missed that. I believe it. I wouldn't want flanges on a DD either.

You have every right to claim it's unbelievably heavy, but assigning a number to that weight is not something you have the right to do unless you plop it on a scale.

I think I read somewhere that drumless (but otherwise assembled) 14B's are 450lb....

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Stock complete front 2.5T rock = 842 lbs
Stock complete (with brakes) rear 2.5T rock = 692 lbs
Stock complete front 5T rock = 1450 lbs
