THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that other thread Mark commented in prompted me to email my stepmother about importing some front XJ 44's from South America. she may have a line on them and seemed confident about it, and can look into it if there is interest from you local yokels.

depending on price, yes please.

If the price is right, I'll buy a couple of them. How complete do the axles come?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ummm... why?

Waste if you ask me.

I was actually just rethinking it...

No point really.

If I was going to have another XJ to wheel mild trails, I would just build an old school D44.

Throw brackets on it and have better everything else for probably cheaper than Jeff could get them.

The only thing I can see is to make a profit off of them.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Shit Id buy a dozen if I could get together the cash, I dont see how you could lose cash on the deal (pending what prices Jeff gets but hes always the man). Plenty of people would be willing to pay out the ass for these axles.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's a big up front investment, but I'd be willing to bet you could make it all back and then some pretty fast if the axles are 100% complete, brand new, and somewhere around $1000.

Sell each one for $1500-$2000.

As Billy said, plenty of TJ guys that would pay it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'll be in for it too.

Briarwood with front and rear D44's for the street, yes please.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

do you realize how many TJ driving losers would be willing to pay out their asses for one???
Very good point.

Exactly my thinking. $150 junkyard D44, a $50 junk D30 and boom, same thing after a 1/2 days work.

If there was actually a market for these around here I'd be tempted to wip out a couple, but everyone in this area builds their own stuff or is too cheap. :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You haven't looked on JeepForum or Craigslist.

Guaranteed there's TJ guys out there that would buy them off you.

Bring them to the Jeep Rally.

If you really think so and are willing to put up 1/2 the cost. I'm game for finding some 44s and making some hybrids.

100% serious. I need some projects.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if we were to get them it would be a good amount, not just 1 or 4. I'm going to ask her to look for surplus & also for used ones and based on the price, we'll go from there. it will take some time, but she is pretty good and has great sources. if/when I hear more, I'll spread the word around for more info/interest.
