THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well, 2 PM Tuesday will be my first ever consultation with a lawyer about anything.

Consultation is free. Then the $$ starts flowing.

I should probably order all the axle rebuild parts for the Jeep now. Might be hard to justify any of that soon and I at least want to be able to move it around the yard instead of sitting on jackstands for a small eternity.

Mmm Scrub radius.

Well, whenever mine is done I'm sure someone else will be down for the count by then.

Those whose rigs were complete will be doing rear steer rockwell swaps because having bigger axles makes you a cooler person on the inside.

Scrub radius schmub radius. It's a trail rig.

Yeah definitely. Ross might actually have a D80/rockwell hybrid at that point since he isn't cool at all right now.

That sucks. If you ever need any tips or anything my uncle is a lawyer, family friend is a lawyer, and my brother is in law school (though he is technically not supposed to give any advice until he graduates).

Bring them to the M&G? Haha...

There's a lot of questionable circumstances about my situation, but I'm being realistic about it and am gonna start looking into preparations *now* in case I won't be driving for a while. I'd rather not be blindsided and stuck a month or two from now.

It's about a 15-minute bike ride to the train station from my house, and there's a train that arrives at the station near my work at 7:50 (I need to be here at 8:00). About 5 or 6 people I work with drive past that station every day on their way in and everyone - for now, anyway - wouldn't mind picking me up for the rest of the way.

Downside is I need to take the train almost all the way up to NYC and then hop a different line to come southwest back into NJ. It's like a 2 hour+ train ride so I'd be leaving my house at like 5:15 AM. Yuck. :(

Of course the monthly train pass works out to less than my monthly fuel spending for commuting each way. There's that, I guess.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Balls. Now I'm going to have to bring my front axle inside everytime.

Yes. You can solve it with ridiculously low backspaced wheels.
I'm going to sneak into your yard every night and set the jackstands 1" higher.

I'm going to throw hoses at the tank, splice in some hard line for the vent, and fire the effing Jeep up tonight.
I drove around a couple times with no floor in the back, the gas tank sitting on the rails that it is usually strapped to, and the fuel filter / pump wiring bungee corded to my shock absorber and spare tire :gee:

Well after I put all that stuff in, I'll be done.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yea it is

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm gonna put Jello pudding pops in your diffs so they don't overheat.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm gonna put a D80 cover over my front axle and fool people.
Have fun when the cover eats a rock that eats your ring gear.

The solution is clearly to weld the D30 ring gear on.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that other thread Mark commented in prompted me to email my stepmother about importing some front XJ 44's from South America. she may have a line on them and seemed confident about it, and can look into it if there is interest from you local yokels.
