THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I could pretty easily mount the eldorado calipers with the built-in parking brake lever on the rear axle, but they're expensive and I've heard mixed reviews about their holding power with larger tires.
Exactly why I just have cheap GM fronts out back.
Back to yesterday's conversation about the hydro assist stuff - I also like still having the steering wheel lock sometimes.
Did you read my response yesterday?
im going assist, that reminds me i should get the ram when i get the steel from my supplier next week, all kinda pointless as i still wont have the rod ends by then
Wait until the steering is mocked up, then get something with the correct throw. Unless you are using a surplus ram.

Why? Just in case you feel like switching it to a 5-spd and then drive it down to the supermarket to grab some milk?

What do you mean? I'll probably never have an e-brake setup, much less drive to the store and get milk in my Jeep!
GM front calipers are cheap, they work well, and fit great. That's why I'm using them in the rear. My front brakes are rebuilt factory Ford twin pistons.

SHUT UP KIIID!!! It sounded like the reason you have GM calipers is so you can convert them to eldorado calipers with ease.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I could swap them right over, but that isn't the reason I'm using them. ;)

Before I turned my jeep into a raisin I used to drive it all over town. Hell, I'd still drive it all over the place if it wouldn't get impounded instantly. :(

That thing cruises great down the road.
