THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I still have these projectors and HID's sitting in my closet at home. I was thinking about selling them, but I'm not sure now that I've been driving the Jeep more lately.

Colin saw me fire them up, they have some pretty bad ass light output.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah i realize the combo he mentioned is very rare but I was wondering if all doge front ends 6 and or 8 lugs align w/ the steering/ca's/coils just as he mentioned...? I'm sure the output yoke on the pinion is larger but i'm not concerned about that.

hahahaha

apparently even my attempt to dissuade him without alerting him to the agean-class bullshitting going on failed.

This guy is clue-proof.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Rock Auto rules. That place has saved me tons of $$.

Ditto.

I usually go to my parts guy down the street for most things though. If I get to him before 11 a.m., he can usually get me the parts same day within a few hours and 90% of what he has is all made in USA.

Even the filters I put in my truck (WIX).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

don't install them, you have bad luck installing new lights on jeeps.

(unless Bump has another set exactly like them for some reason)

Actually, that is only fog lights. My Hella E-codes survived the crash just fine, even though one was pointing at the ground after the crash. :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I could pretty easily mount the eldorado calipers with the built-in parking brake lever on the rear axle, but they're expensive and I've heard mixed reviews about their holding power with larger tires. Plus the cable & handle would be a pain in the ass.

yea they suck. i could never keep a high pedal, and could never get them to hold my jeep on a slight incline

i went back to monte carlo calipers for like 14 bucks a side

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im not planning on running an ebrake on the 9 im building what did you use for calipers on your 9???

What is the 9 out of? If it's out of a car like mine you can use all the brake hardware off the rear axle of a crown vic (or any of the other variations of that car). You just have to have a spacer installed on the axle shaft to space itout a bit further so it clears all the e-brake stuff. If you don't install the e-brake stuff you may not need the spacer though at the same time i never looked into that :dunno: You also have to grind the axle flange down a bit to clear the disk backing plate but that's minor work.

if the 9 is out of a truck you can use ford 8.8 disks IIRC.

yeah, my random headlights that came with the jeep (either OEM or silverstars, I forget) survived being mashed straight into a guardrail. The passenger side (which is the one I smashed up) burned out before the driver side but lasted about another year or so, so who really knows whether it was because of the accident or not.

you have no idea how tempted I am to submit pictures of the dirty POS for ROTM since it's stock rig month. Carmelo, you should submit pics of your XJ... and the briarwood needs some love for sure.

ok, so no ebrake, at least till I get it going...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

on my motorcycle it has projectors, can i swap to HIDS and not worry about blinding the shit out of the world?

EDIT: 8000k or 6000k?

between those two choices, I'd do 6000K...anything over that is blue & ricey. I'd even go to a lower number for better closer to actual daylight color...but that's me.

Adaaaaaaaam. coming by today? :)

I agree. The stock headlights of my VW are the highest I'd go. They're 4300 K.

I eat alot, I drink alot, I'll fawk any of you guys up .!.:D.!.

I lost power 5 seconds after this post and jsut got it back. I watched TRON on my laptop :D

I'm making my to-do list. Ebrake or no E brake? I'd love to get one of those transfercase output brakes...

STFU pinion brakes

Why? Just in case you feel like switching it to a 5-spd and then drive it down to the supermarket to grab some milk?

Before I turned my jeep into a raisin I used to drive it all over town. Hell, I'd still drive it all over the place if it wouldn't get impounded instantly. :(

That thing cruises great down the road.

C'mon Bill!!!! Hell, at least youre tires are road friendly-ish. I'll drive mine around on the street to get coffee and gas :D (yes, its within 500 ft so the Treps wont commit suicide). Im pumped that I can still keep in tagged and plated and junk too.
