Eh, I already have one street bike. If I get another there's a damn good chance it will be a VMax. I will see if my buddy wants the CX, if I can find someone who wants the CX then maybe I could work a trade. What year is it again? And shoot a link to any pics you have, I will forward them to the guy. And did you ever get the title squared away and good-to-go in MA?

86 I think? I'll have to double check on that. It's got a rebuilt master and caliper, new seat cover, good tires, runs good, newish battery etc. What would you want $wise if he's not interested?
My friend who I got it from had it on the road in NH, no title, then when I got it he didn't give me the registration and I believe he lost it when he moved =\ but I'll ask him again. If he doesn't have it, someone in NH can register the bike, then "sell" it back to you with a bill of sale, and with that and the old registration you're set to put it on the road in MA. That's what my plan was/is if and when I ever get around to doing it.

Alright. I think that before he would be interested it would need a title (finding NH folks who could easily buy/register/title/sell it for us down here in southern MA is a bit more difficult

You can turn an XT into a SM, I've seen it done before. My buddy almost did it to his old XT, IIRC you just have to find the right wheels that work (and maybe a rear swing arm but I don't remember exactly)
edit: i know I have seen the XT350 SM swap done before but I can't find the link now :dunno:
And cash wise I'm not exactly sure still. Will keep you posted though
