So, its been almost a year since I bought a jeep, so I got this one today!

I was thinking about this the other day, this is about the longest I've gone without buying a vehicle. I've had red jeep for almost a year and half. With the money I'm putting into both jeeps lately to get them going, I'll probably try and get another couple of years outta them.

I built leaf springs tonight :woohoo:

Crown HD leafpacks with an XJ main leaf with the main eyes cutoff and the ends rounded and beveled. Tore down the entire pack and fully stripped, cleaned, painted, prepped, & greased everything. I modded the factory pinch style leaf retainers to a bolt style one like on RE leafs.

Just got a PM for a T18 with hydraulic clutch setup located somewhere in MA. 6.32:1 first gear, SHIT.

Just finished pressurewashing my engine and am now eating dinner. Gonna start on the mounts after I'm done.

I read somewhere the hatch cylinder sometimes works as an on/off for the alarm, you hear that before?

I can confirm that turning the key on the hatch, or either of the doors as long as the sensors are attached, of a '91 with alarm system does disable the alarm.

If you do end up ripping the sentry system (that's what that alarm system is called), let me know, I want the sensors and stuff.

and it does that stupid alarm thing,which may or may not have something to do with nss.

How is the battery? If you ever need to jump the jeep, it resets the alarm and will set it off until you unlock it.

Also, let me know if you decide to get rid of the rims.

I THINK I have pretty much everything needed, I'll probably need an emergency run to Crown at some point in the process cause something will probably Begley itself.

Jeff, you carry new leaf spring bolts? 6 of them?

So did you already go to Crown again? And if so did you remember the tube this time?

It's a no go. He wants $$$ for it. I'm still going to swap in my other dana 20 to free up the other gear and adapter to be sold. I'll sell off the rest of my automatics while i'm at it to fund a T18 swap when I find one.

do they hatch and doors do the same function?or is the hatch the final on/off?
I turned the key on the door,it shuts off, but when you start it again, it immediately goes off.havent tried the hatch yet.

seemed to turn over pretty good, but it seems like the heater fan is a little slow, and the power windows and wipers were kinda slow too.

I figured this would be a good platform, carpets already out, I get to pick how im setting up the interior(seats, shelving/storage in back.
This jeep will be very utilitarian, a dd but able to thrash on the weekends.

I figure 3 1/2" lift, 33"s, underarmor, and some cutting should do me well.

Your truck sucks, plus it has a lame NP208 bolted to the end of your T18. Call that guy now and tell him I want it for cheap. I have over 1000 TH400s for trade.

Guess what has 2 thumbs and just fixed an xj with a 30 amp minifuse and 2 feet of electrical tape?

THIS GUY! Turns out my rear o2 sensor wiring harness came loose from the body and had a little meeting with the driveshaft, and shorted out power for the sensors and computer, blowing the fuse.

With the T18 and my 3.73s I would have over twice the final drive ratio I would if I upgraded my gears to 4.10s and my transfercase to 2.46:1 from 2:1.
