Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i might do the spring over, but figure out some different springs. 8" is taller than id like

This is what i'm told is 8" lift in a FSJ. Not too tall at all IMO.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the guy selling that saw isn't the best at reading comprehension, I sent him an email saying I could meet either late tonight or sometime friday/saturday evening and he replied saying to give him a call so we could set something up for tomorrow night.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I need dowel pins for my 4.0 to mate to the t176 bellhousing, I'll probably have to have Josh get them from the dealer.

Also might try to get an inspection plate from him as well. If not, I'll mod the AX-15 one to work. It only needs one new hole drilled and some trimming.

Ordered the stainless poly wrapped MC-to-SC line from Novak today though.

Same as the ones I bought http://performanceamstyle.com/Cart/description.php?II=1129&sessid=&divi=amc
$8 shipped

He can compare your spring over and shackle flip to my 4" spring lift & ghey 1"BL. If I were to do it again I'd either do the 6" Rusty's or Hell Creek lift or just do what you did...but I'm pretty happy overall where it sits.

Once/if I ever get my rig back, I've been planning with a few IFSJA guys to have a meet down here some weekend.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

imma gunna make tear apart brandy new leafs and modify them. If there wasnt a home Pats game on Sunday, I would probably try and swing the new junk under red jeep. I THINK I have pretty much everything needed, I'll probably need an emergency run to Crown at some point in the process cause something will probably Begley itself.

Jeff, you carry new leaf spring bolts? 6 of them?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just yank the LCA bolts off a WJ at the yard and use those. They don't generally charge for bolts at the yard and WJs are new enough to be rust free, I only had to turn them like 3 turns each with a wrench and then used my fingers.

Ignore the passenger frame side one (iirc), it has a stupid tag stamped onto the head and is impossible to keep a wrench on.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think Ive decided to swap out my HP30 for a LP30 too :shocked::shocked:

Aside from the fact I've already got one with the correct gearing, the BJ's and bushings and brackets are in super mint shape.

i dont feel like doing thru any of that effort. are the WJ LCA bolts even a direct match for leaf springs bolts? :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yep. M14x2.0, might be slightly longer than stock ones on an XJ. XJs use the same bolts for the leaf eye, both ends of the shackle, and all the LCA bolts - part number 3420 2118 and the nuts are 1150 2814.

Yes, I have those numbers memorized .!.:D.!.

Some of the WJ ones are even black oxide coated.

We don't sell them for whatever reason. We're weak for hardware. :-/

I buy them through the dealer as I can't find many places online selling them in the 10.9 strength. I think I have 2 (maybe 4) extra from when I grabbed some for my install here at the store.

Darn Ross stealing my old leaf packs that were probably going to sit for a year! :D

Yeah, I hit up Ace and the have bolts either the right length but 8.8 or too short but 10.9.

Ive already destroyed your old leafs, Im about to go cut the eyes off the main leafs now and bevel the ends and wire wheel them up :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So, its been almost a year since I bought a jeep, so I got this one today!

91 Limited, 218xxx miles, d30/aw4/231/d35

http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/1965425698.html

Good-its a jeep,nuff said
Bad-No seats besides a gross drivers, no carpet, little bit of cancer on the floorboards.

Also, the factory alarm is facked up and flashes the hazards(horn too, but its unplugged)but turns off with the door cylinder, but quickly resumes after turning on again. And it has a bad nss, which may be part of the problem.

more in a little bit, off for steaktips from bullrun to celebrate!!!
