I have 2 Seagates that I haven't had any problems with the 3 and 2 years I've had them.
I've generally heard good things about Western Digital.

Yeah I used to have good luck with seagates back when I built PCs...but that was like 7-8 years ago :laugh:.

Any less than 0.5 TB is a waste of $. If you watch the sales you can get a 1 TB for less than $100. Try to get 7200 rpm too.

Tomorrow. I'm tired and grumpy now. It's mainly because all the bolts lined up before I painted it and then my Dad decided to weld some extra supports on without telling me and I think it may have tweaked it just enough that 5 out of 19 bolts will not line up at all.

Colin, seagate ftw. Aside from their batch of drives with sd15 firmware a year or two back they have never ever let me down, and my drives with sd15 are actually still running, they just might brick at any moment.
I hate it when welding stuff tweaks it up like that :smsoap:
