THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if you love blowing ring gears and tweaking carriers, go with the spicers.
That's why I am tempted to run the spicers in the one set of x760 shafts that already has them... and not run the spicers in the other set. Granted I have the full carrier truetrac so hopefully that makes things better... but still got 4.88s so I'm afraid of my ring gear  And god knows if I blow a ring gear I won't wheel for a year cause there's not way in hell I am paying for ANOTHER D30 gear install. I would just do it myself (or more likely upgrade the axle) and take forever to do that like everything else I do. Though for some reason my motivation is high this week.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i just clogged the toilet at work.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hey guys, im gonna build a completely custom dana30 using mostly dana44 parts, and beef the shit out of it... and use the stock flimsy wet noodle carrier because i have had good luck with it. i even do hard shifts at redline and it never broke before.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

:wow:

add that to the list of things I did not need to know!

EDIT: hahaha, sam, I think I know what thread you are making fun of.

Speaking of which, why do people focus on "pure beef" where it won't matter, i.e. stuff like extra thick solid bar stock track bars... with regular rubber bushing cup ends that are nowhere near as thick as the bar stock? Am I an idiot and wrong on this, or do the builders/sellers of this stuff really not have that good a grasp of mechanical engineering, or are they doing it to sucker people into thinking it's stronger?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If the toilets at your work are anything like the ones we have here that is an impressive feat.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Some of em suck but I'm fairly certain most of the ones here could flush a baby, a sack of cement, or a cinder block with ease. They're almost scary.

Likewise. once in a while we get a weak flush but then you just do a 2nd flush and the pressure comes back with a vengeance.

And why are we talking about this? :gee:

I've only clogged the work ones a few times. My most impressive feat was clogging a toilet in the UMass dorms a few times. Those have a mean flush.

I've done that.

It also overflowed (not with matter in it, it was already flushed down).

I walked out like nothing happened.
Awesome. Ours don't have a shut off on the fill, either. I was worried about this one overflowing.

x2, i bet he's friends with iron rock offroad too :D i agree its alot of sucker factor going on to get people to buy it. its like selling stuff on criagslist, use fancy words like "pure beef" and "unbendable solid stock!!"

LETS USE SOME SOLID HEX FOR OUR CONTROL AHMS FOR BRUTE AWESOMENESS then use 3/4 heims...

or we could use the strongest stuff ever made for our "high clearance" iron y longarm upgrade then put a rinky dink bracket thing on the end for the most awesome caster adjustment ever. then we can say that threaded joints suck and get mangled on rocks to the point where they loosen up and klunk and somehow also get stuck in there at the same time

and this is the tip of the iceberg.... i could go on for hours about stuff like this

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Who wants to see my jeep get chopped? (in person) It would be especially handy if you wanted to see it get chopped and you also owned a sawzall.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
