Sorry I like support/structure on my vehicles.

Get off the interwebz and make two peices of metal one!
Which pinch seams, the ones along the bottom insides of the frame rails on the front end? I would cut them out if I could weld the cut edges to the inside of the stiffeners, but since that's not possible I would not cut them out.
How high is the bed on that thing? I was curious how you were planning on getting an Audi in there like (IIRC) you originally mentioned doing. Seems to me like you would need some long ramps for something with a poor approach angle like that..I LOVE this idea. My plan is to build two ramps so I can just drive the XJ into the back of it. The best part is that some previous owner welded some brackets onto the bed that look like I could bolt a smallish winch to them (or just a crossbar and a comealong) so I don't even have that much work left to finish it.
The grille on the M54 is made out of 1/8" and 3/16" stock. I think the hood is 12 gauge, maybe 14, it weighs a lot.
We gave up on that idea, I simply learned to drive stick instead. How high is the bed on that thing? Power steering - yes. Even so my arms are sore as hell from driving that thing for 500+ miles. I can steer it one handed but prefer not to.pretty awesome, huh?
a few quick questions: does yours have power steering, cold start, or heat?
slightly off topic: holy poo:
