THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It might be mounted on a thin alum. Radiator you can't see in that pic.

I don't want to hear anybody bitchin about the rain until your doing something in the snow.I've shoveled snow and had my fingers almost freeze to the parts swapping a tranny in my bronco and I installed a complete lift kit and exhaust in the snow. The only upside to trucks is more room underneath but I gladly would have taken rain.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I dug my Comanche out of a snowbank with nothing but a ski. Open and 2wd do not go well with a curvy slick country road and screwed up brakes.

Then I dug it out again a few weeks later with nothing but a splitting maul and my hands... same story.

Glad I've fixed the brakes and should have 4wd by next winter.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ken, i was only talking about the lug nut...

bump, why put the radiator there? so when you hit something or roll, it doesn't get nailed?

I have complained about the rain... but it was raining while snowing and I had a crankshaft censor die in my friends driveway which was flooded. Was Christmas eve and I had to pull a censor from a parts jeep and put it in while it rained. Most cold I have ever been lol.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

your parents?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Let me guess, she wants you to install it in the Explorer?

:anon:

Yeah I figured... I'm just gonna stay out of it, I have no idea what the timing was.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't even want to know what I've spent on sawzall blades now. I buy the 8-9" long "the torch" demolition blades in 10 or 20 packs, for like 15 bucks a pack... and worth every cent. I cut all the U-bolts on two 8.8s in something like 10 minutes last weekend - one for Ross and one for the people who kept an eye on my stuff while I went to get a dolly, who happened to be after an 8.8 as well. Most of that 10 minutes was trying to find a good angle to hit the bolts from.

EDIT: WTF! WTF WTF. As some of you know I carry my old cell phone as a junkyard PDA and alarm clock still. It has an old SIM card in it just so that it will connect to the network in case I really need to make an emergency call, but has no other connectivity. Occasionally I pocket dial it strangely because I'm too lazy to lock the keypad. For the last 5 minutes or so I've been hearing some girl's voice talking going "where the hell is that coming from." Turns out I pocket dialed my old cell phone... soon as I took it out of my pocket and hit hangup the voice stopped.

The number I pocket dialed? 666. Apparently the devil is a cute sounding chick :dunno:

I'm gonna steal Mark's 231 so he HAS to install it in a timely fashion.

Oh wait, that would imply Mark moving his jeep...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That guy would be PISSED if he saw that post
Ha, I'm sure it would.

I need to get the Jeep driving as it is right now, but sometime hopefully soon I'll strip off the DB's, install the stiffners and Claytons, and then put the 241 in, and replace the tranny seal Ross begleyed.

.!.:D.!.
It should be moving again after this weekend.

And 231? I have two 231's, but neither of them are installed in any Jeeps.

Does anyone have a driver side tow hook that I could borrow? I'm *thinking* I could put my C-rock outer plate on, then a tow hook, then after I move my axle forward, I could do some wheeling again.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's going to be hard considering he has a NP242...
