THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Where can I get a new ubolt style yoke in ma? Like tomorrow

I have my old 8.25 sitting in the yard. Carrier is torn out so keeping the pinion from spinning might be tough (to get the yoke bolt off) but if you need something quick I could try and get the yoke off tomorrow night. lmk if you want it. I also think I might have a 8.25 pinion seal as well. Ordered it years ago but never installed it. Free for the taking.

Could get it off with a pipe wrench. Ill just check napa. Id like to upgrade to a ubolt style yoke as well.

Yeah, that's what I figured I would try but I wasn't about make any promises :laugh3: but I just figured I would offer incase you couldn't come up with anything and needed a replacement quick.

I may just try and drill them out and get ubolts. 3 bolts broke off. That way I dont have to mess with the pinion preload.

I put this in my thread but I'll put it here to, even with the breakages today I always have a great time out with this group of people.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

we probably weren't talking about anything relative to my jeep at this point
I think you are right. I think the conversation was more toward the brand of tools being used. :yap:
Your XJ made it home ok?
I very much dislike chasing electrical issues. Good Luck!

Adam, I tried calling you earlier, but it went straight to voice mail.

How did you get those broken studs out of the caster sleeve thingy in the passenger drop bracket? I couldn't get the ones in the driver side to budge with a punch or an air hammer. Where is Ross when you need him?

I took my nuts off and vice gripped the adjuster to the LCA bracket to make sure the adjuster wouldn't bend and proceeded to beat the bag out of it until both came out.

I'd probably find a way to apply an angle grinder to the problem.

Jeepman401 - nice, job for a cowboy is another band on my list. Never heard of the other opening band you listed though

Carmelo - ok, not sure you posted this or not, but year split? I forget kj vs kk differences. What color would you prefer? Bear in mind I am typical male and recognize approximately sixteen colors unless comparing side by side.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ken, IIRC, kj's stopped in 06...?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Holy sit NACfest is soon. For some reason I lost a week in there; I thought I had a bit more time than I do. Hmmmmm, gotta find some steel for next wkend so I can make rear bumper unibody tie-ins. Anyone happen to have some long narrow steel that would be good for unibody tie ins and nut strips? I doubt I will have time to get out of work early enough to hit up Turner after work at any point this wk...
