not recently, no. but it would be nice to know whether or not i'm going to get bagged. my car doesn't like going slow, so i let it do what it wants. it <3 curves. AFAIK, V1's have no problem with lidar. the only thing they have a hard time with is instant-on.You get bagged?
Those aren't much use against LIDAR... only times I've ever been caught by a speedtrap they were using LIDAR or it was too late to react anyways. Being a paranoid bastard and keeping your head on a swivel OR just not going so fast is worth more than a radar detector.
haha nice, but some cars just have sprung tensioners, not threaded adjusters.I ordered a belt tension gauge when I was at NAPA today, the guy first thought it was a tool you use to adjust the tension, hes like "ya we could get it, but that's something the dealerships usually have." Then I told him that it was for checking the tension in the belt, and he was like "Naw, naw, you can't adjust the tension." I'm like, "ummm, yes you can." he replies "No, that's not adjustable, there's a tensioner on there that's not adjustable."
I was like dude, you clearly sell a gauge that detects the tension so you can adjust it properly. He didn't want to believe me at first, and was like "Well you'd have to go on our website and find it, then order it or come in with the number." I gave him the part number right then, and when he saw what it was he kind of shut up and then was like "ya alright I understand what you're saying."

Working on my dad's wrangler sucks casue it has a frame and its a TJ and it lives on the cape and has rust and hates brakelines.
Gotta love counter tards... avoid that guy and find a different person at the same store next time I guess.I ordered a belt tension gauge when I was at NAPA today, the guy first thought it was a tool you use to adjust the tension, hes like "ya we could get it, but that's something the dealerships usually have." Yeah, instant-on is pretty tough to handle, because the signal is dumped into an attenuator till the very last minute, then switched to drive the antenna/feedhorn, and then you're screwed.not recently, no. but it would be nice to know whether or not i'm going to get bagged. my car doesn't like going slow, so i let it do what it wants. it <3 curves. That is all kinds of illegal, but they're pretty neat. You can end up with some really, really hefty fines for being caught with one of those. My old roommate had a K40 Undetectable in his BMW M5. It detects and jams radar and Lidar.
Seriously. I could change a serp belt on a modern Mustang in about 45 seconds when I worked at the quicklube. There's about 8" of free space between the radiator and the belts, and it has an auto tensioner, so all it involved was a ratchet and a few seconds of routing the belt. I would kill to not have to deal with a stupid seized-up belt tension adjuster on the jeeps.I know, I told him that, he was like "no, you can't adjust them."
Working on my dad's wrangler was nice because it had the auto tensioner. SOO much easier to put the belt on.
I can do a belt in the Jeep in no time at all. air ratchet + extension makes it SUPER easy.Seriously. you guys need radar to get pulled over? i guess im easy then, they just drive next to me and watch me drive faster and pass them in the lane next to them
or see big ass tires
or hear loud exhaust
or smell buring rubber
just drove the jeep to the car wash, i guess i have to get ude to having shitty brakes and loose steering again
