THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Rebuilt the small air compressor for the airbags in my truck, somehow water got in it and rusted out the springs behind the brushes along with the contacts on the motor armature.

Good to go now. Just gotta fix the hacky wiring.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i so should of listened to this guy

Wow I posted that one hell of a long time ago. It's impossible to be unhappy with an atlas but atleast for me i'd go another direction. For 2k I could find a big block and build it up to do burnouts on 38s. The drivetrain behind it would be dirt cheap, bulletproof and front dig capable.

i just plan on doin frt digs on everyones hoods that i wheel with

X2

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

can someone please explain what a fawkin front dig is? ive cant figure it out and its bugging the shit out of me

You can do a front dig on my hood  Just do it before I put on my new one.

And Ken, if you pull those OHC's with sensors and all, I will likely be interested in buying one from you (though I have a feeling everetts would be cheaper... but finding one becomes the problem). I am going to try and hit up everetts next sat morning for a headliner and carpet and if they have it OHC/sensor I will get that as well.. but if they don't have anything for me then I would be interested in buying one off ya

Thinking of OHCs; is there any difference between 97- and 97+ headliners? I can't remember when the soundbar was added into the headliner though it may have been '97.. I just need a headliner (without soundbar) and hopefully can snag one with the cutouts for the OHC and all mounting hardware at the same time.

Edit: And I originally didn't know what to think of the goodyear wrangler MTR w/ Kevlar tread pattern but after seeing them wheeled I think I might be interested.... so two questions:
1) 35x11.5" tire on D30.... that pushing it too much? My gut tells me yes but that doesn't mean I don't want to try it  I am looking into either buying or making something like IRO's almost alloy kit if that matters at all
2) If answer to #1 is "no, that tire should be OK" (which I kinda doubt), is there any reason to avoid an 18" wheel like the plague? Looking at the tire sizes available, it seems that the options are either run a taller/narrower tire with a larger wheel or run a wider tire with a smaller (aka 15") wheel. I can't say I really know how the wheel size affects performance.

Edit 2: I just realized the tire size I am looking at is 400+ per tire... may be a little while before I can afford them, if ever

  • install new rear brake pedal
  • install new throttle cables
  • install R6 throttle tube

things to get jeep mint:

  • impossible
edit: i'm not getting r32 rims. they're 17's and mine are 18's...

I couldn't remember if the ones you had were 17's o or 18's. That site does have them in 18's though. But IMO 17 would look better, ride smoother, and tires would be cheaper.

Fixed it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd agree with Mark, and I can technically drive either of mine right now :spin1:

It'd be a real terrible idea to take the XJ on anything except a short drive right now however. Something about all my stuff falling out the back and it folding like a taco.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hmmm, my Briarwood drives just fine, the way it is supposed to. I'm pretty comfortable in it too :dunno:

As far as my green jeep, i don't give a f#ck that other people think it "should be done already." Its clearly not.

Oops. Last time I payed attention to a post that said Briarwood/blairwitch I thought you said the seats hurt your back. Sorry, my B(non-sarcastic tone intended).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i saw a dude today with 37" claws on a d30 with stock shafts and wj stuff UTK with stock linkage. he said it all works great :dunno:

sounds like the guy from ronin wheelers who runs 37" boggers on an 8" pro comp lift with a stock dana30 and 35 and said it worked perfect.

now this is the guy that accused my wheeling habits dangerous because my lug nuts could break off and tire could impale his children from 50 feet away.

well saturday me and my buddy were out on the dual sports and see a group of jeeps wheeling. we stop and bullshit. and i find out its the ronin wheelers. they said the guy with the 37" pro comp fail machine on stock axles blew up 2 35 shafts the same day and his jeep has been sitting for months and apparently he got kicked out of the club for other reasons.
