Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so last night coming back to a buddy's place getting a 30 pack we saw a homeless woman just flat out pooping on the sidewalk. of a busy street, with her pants at her ankles and shit. ewww.

i also saw a girl smash her car into a light pole on the main street by my house. it was about 2:10, and she was certainly driving home from the bars since the people standing around who actually witnessed the crash said she was HAMMERED when she got out of hte car. interesting little scene

Yikes. You would think she could find an alley or something :barf:

Off to southbridge to make sure the place still stands... hopefully closing mid week... where have I heard this story before?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got back from today's drive #1 and decided to give the Jeep a once over...and found my brake fluid level was super low. Thank god I checked, somehow one of my rear brake hard lines (going from the splitter on the axle to the calipers) had come loose. The strange part is that the hard line whihc I had never removed during the axle swap was the one that came loose... the hard line that hasn't been touched/loosened/removed in the past 4 years :dunno:

Oh well, shes tight again and hopefully won't leak anymore. Might end up bleeding the rear brakes again later just for the hell of it, but they are good enough for now.

Very tempting. I already have a set of those and they are awesome. Kindof want a 2nd set so I can lift up the Jeep and cover almost the entire ground under them. with a 2nd set I could cover a 8'x6' area, which would be sweet.

Edit:
And this is terrifying. Why would they ever give me the option to buy this. Screw NACfest sweatshirts... :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh yeah... there are two 96-down and one 97-up (!) XJ overhead consoles at Sam's right now.

Let the vultures descend! First time I've ever seen a 97-up OHC there.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Nice, I am still tempted to get an OHC one of these days, and at the same time I gotta grab a headliner as well. I got lucky and snagged a '96 soundbar a couple weeks back. Meant to hit up everetts today but ended up just putting miles on the Jeep and doing some needed work on the Altima (oil change, tire rotation, etc). Will have to go raid Everetts next wkend I guess.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken, do you know any prices on those OHC? If you happen to be around there sometime soon, and they are there, could you possibly grab the display that we talked about, as mine is dull?

i know it doesn't come out much in the middle.still like it.still need D-ring tabs welded..

Just so you know, welded on bumpers will not pass NAXJA's tech inspection if used as a recovery point.

I have one on a dead OHC board sitting here - yours free, I can simply solder the display onto your board and it should work immediately. They'll charge 30 for the entire OHC plus wiring harness+sensor and brackets, or did last time I pulled one.

I'll see if I can't get around to testing that display later tonight actually, they're fairly simple - put 1-2 volts across the heater terminals, ground one end of the heater, bring the desired grid and cathode terminals to +12V or so for full brightness and the display should light up.

I may just pull all the OHCs and put them in the classifieds for whatever they charge me (likely 30) if I have time before work this week, though I'm going to be very busy moving stuff to storage and trying to find a temp apartment so that may or may not happen.

EDIT: I forgot how much fender flares really do to keep the splashing down, drove the MJ through the carwash pond in the middle of outlook drive last night and barely any water got on the windshield. Had to have the wipers on high last time I did that with the XJ or I would have been driving blind.

(would edit but it's too late)

Anyone need OEM parts? I'm throwing together a mopardiscountparts order, if anyone needs smallish stuff thrown on the list I'll cover the shipping. Look up your own part numbers or tell me year/part description and I'll try and find it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Maybe it's just me but I don't think any of us are in line for needing an atlas. You're throwing 2k at a transfer case going into a jeep maybe worth 2k itself. I think money is much better spent else where. Honestly if everything else on your jeep is well in order and everything else in your life for that matter is in order go for it. Personally, if I had 2k, I would put it in my savings account. I would rather have money towards a house than put it into my jeep. I try to spend only a few hundred at a time on my jeeps.
i so should of listened to this guy

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I dunno, it's a pretty badass transfer case, and you can just keep using it in every rig you build even after junking the rest.

That being said, there is no chance I would ever buy one of those... I'm just not that into jeeps.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
