if it was one of the jeep engines making valvetrain noise, i wouldnt care. but its the nova, it been kinda pissing me off lately. i played with the rocker arms a little bit and tightened it up some, but its still making more noise then it should. i know the engine is tired and been beat hard, so that doesnt help. time to start keeping an eye open for a nice donor or a crate or something. the power brakes are acting up too. i dropped a new booster and master in last year, along with new pedal and pushrod/hardware. it refuses to find a happy spot and likes to hiss air or jsut slightly apply braking pressure. i can make it stop one of them, but not the other at the same time. i still gotta get the kickdown cable hooked up cause itll just power thru a gear otherwise. cooling system is crappy, needs a new fan/shroud and a radiator wouldnt hurt either. while in there it NEEDS a radaitor support. the whole engine bay isnt detailed at all so it looks less then id like (i like to leave my hood closed)

Oh yeah, spent the whole day in the woods cutting wood today, Bill you were right, my homolite chainsaw quit working at all halfway through, what a fricken waste of money that turd was. I will be picking up a stihl or husqvarna next time I need a chainsaw.

Eh, they are fine little things if you only use it about a half dozen times a year on stuff less than 6" in diameter. Anything more than that and you know the saying "you get what you pay for".

Well, the reason I never committed to saying I'm 100% sure I'm going to NACFest was because I wanted to wait until today when my boss got back from his trip to make sure I could get the time off.

Guess we have a final draft of a report due the 18th. Sweeeeet.

If we can get the report done the 15th, then I'm all set to go down.

Yeah... just wish I'd listened. I feel like I just paid for a dana 35 or something :roflmao:

I beat the hell out of it, had it pretty much going full-bore or idling with nothing in between when I was at the RC trail cut and a lot of that was hardwoods. Today was mostly gummy really wet softwoods anywhere from 6" to 24" in diameter. It packed it in while I was still working on 12-18" logs, then I ended up borrowing a Stihl which powered through anything I touched even with a dull chain.

Not sure what is wrong with the damn thing, it went from working great to starting to lose some power, then slowly lost more and more power till it would stall trying to cut, then when I started it back up it'd race for a bit then slowly idle down till it stalled without me even using it. If I managed to get it started and keep it that way, it would die the second I hit the throttle, and eventually it just stopped running at all. I think it's an air delivery or carb issue, but I am not sure I want to screw around with it too much.

I just put in new struts, coils, top hats etc on the vw. Looks like the front end is straight again

I just woke up in my desk chair completely surrounded and covered by parts of an instrument cluster and engine computer I was reverse engineering. Oops.

Agreed that single stacks look ghey. I am torn on whether or not I prefer dual stacks or coming out the back stock style.


And the Jeep is finally legal
