THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Would not bother buying that, you're a smart guy, buy a good quality multimeter and learn to use it if you haven't already. That's just a whiz-bang gizmo that will do more to confuse you than it will to help.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya, I figured just that. My next question was going to be, can you recommend a good quality multimeter? I know some of the guys here at work have some nice ones, but they are expensive.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

dont get that one

the optical pixelation resolution is too negatively processed

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

For that same price you could own yourself a 1992 plymouth sundance :D

I wish I had the OK to buy another project car, or more importantly somewhere to keep it. I would probably offer like $300 for that thing and then start looking into cheap parts to do some stupid mods (engine swap anyone?) and build a lemons racer

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah but that lens will last way longer and give me more personal satisfaction hahah

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you buy the lens, ill buy the car, you take pictures of the awesomeness that is my car once I make it badass.

Hmmmm, sundance plus 8.25 rear axle with 3.07s, plus Jeep 4.0/AX-15.

I think whatever car I end up entering in the 24 hours will be 4.0/AX-15 powered. Just need to find a totaled old Jeep for the engine/drivetrain and a cheap old/light car with blown engine for dirt cheap. What I really need is to find a house or something so I can have the room to store everything

PERFECT! Wagon = mid engine :D  Just need one hell of a shift linkage.

And with that I stop shopping for cheap stuff.. I have had way too many absurd ideas in the past 10 minutes

i believe adam (xjli) had a sundance

they did a exhaust, advanced the timing, bored the throttle body and the car screamed (comparatively speaking) it blew apart the tranny within a week

Fluke. Pick one.

I have a BK Survivor 2860A, it's nothing to write home about but has survived my abuse for around eight years now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Lesson learned today: Changing the CV shaft in a MK4 Jetta requires you to remove the sway bar endlink. And a fact that has been further proven: Working on a car with no rust is SOOO nice.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

keith i saw the pic on facebook. i could tell it was a VW shaft.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

serious?

every vw/audi shaft i have ever done was cake. unbolt the axle nut. unbolt 6 allens. and you have enough room to swing the trans side over and pull it out of the hub.

the problem is getting the right shaft

theres like 18 styles that are all visibly the same but once you attempt to put it in, its a different story.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

PS - best of luck Ken! I'm sure you'll find something quick. There comes a point when even good money doesn't cover the misery you feel at a job and enough is enough.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mark, you're a good dude, but you've been too e-angry lately! As the perverted old guys at my old job use to tell the grumpy dude, you need more sex in your life! :D

he needs the chick with the explorer to start putting out.
