my vote for paint :laugh3::thumbup:

And I think after work tomorrow I need to stop by home depot for more halogen bulbs, then gym, then strip out all the lights up front to try and figure out my electrical problem. Enough being lazy

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm running a leaf based 3 link in the back now

2 leaf eyes and 1 shackle connected, right corner on jackstands, looks like I'm rebuilding that corner with .25 plate real quick tomorrow, gotta chop out a foot and a half of rotten frame too. I'm gonna move my shackle mount forward about an inch while I'm at it, screw shackle relocation boxes, rebuilding the frame to suit is where it's at

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh, and I'm glad I got new shackles "just in case" a few months ago because I broke an ear off one of mine with my bare hands while removing it. Nope, totally didn't drive all winter on it like that after straightening the bent ear with my hand while installing my leafs in september... Nope, no way :eyes:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I paid less for my Crows with sewn in shoulder pads.
no need for the cam lock style. They're great for race car applications and they're faster/easier to use....until they get crud in them, and then they're junk. Just get the latch style harnesses. They're reliable and cheaper to boot
This.

i used rustoleum hammered, i like so far
X2.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bill I just emailed my Dad so he'll see it when he gets to work. I'll let you know if he can make them tomorrow. If so I'll get them to you somehow :) I'd say it's 50-50 odds but figured it can't hurt to ask

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone recommend good places to get stainless steel brake lines that are good quality, and won't peel like my RE lines did?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

:dunno:

Get rubber ones instead. They have stainless braid on them too, it's just under a rubber covering. Never had problems with mine...

Anyone have some 3x3x0.187 (or 4x3, or 5x3, etc - just has to be 2.75" or a little wider on the inside and at least 3/16" wall) they'd like to trade for some 3x3x0.25? I have nearly 6 feet of it and discovered I measured wrong, I'm going to have to grind it out where the shackles mount or shorten the bushing sleeves :banghead:

I liked the BDS ones I had on my green Jeep, they lasted a long time and seemed "beefier" than RE ones I've seen. Meaning the diameter was larger, which I assume translates to a thicker stainless braid :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya, the plastic coating on my RE lines cracked, and the ends are rusted, not to mention I used a hand drill to drill out the front lines to fit the larger banjo bolt for the D44 calipers. (never leaked which is awesome).

So while I'm replacing all the hardlines, I figured I should probably do them as well.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

mark, where are your seats for the game on 5/29?

ummm...so? :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Makes sense to me. I'd rather drop the extra 50-60 bucks on new hoses to go with the new hardlines and only have to screw around with it and bleed the system once.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So far this week I have done almost nothing except for updating god damn excel trackers. This sucks. I still have one more to update and this last one will be a hell of a bitch.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Section 41 behind the bullpen.
cool. i got tickets for 15-20 rows behind 1st base. can't remember exactly what section or row though. i hope the seats didn't already sell because it was from a 3rd party website. i'm taking jenn for her birthday.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

awesome! i just got a call from the guy from the oilfield company i met on saturday afternoon, and it's looking like they're piecing together an offer now. RAD. it would be a field engineer guy drilling natural gas, so making bank, working outside, and NOT IN A CUBE!

1 hour from rausch creek, here we come!

now i'm off to do normal, neglected maintenance to the jeep. i got 14mpg on the way home from wheeling yesterday, and that was actually better than i've gotten lately. so cap / rotor, plugs and an oil change will hopefully change that.

Nice man, congrats...where would you be moving to?
