THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I thought about that. I'm not sure how it'd look... Opinions?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

use something that has a good UV rating. cheap paint fades fast. i use some rustolem auto stuff i find at lowes for "nice" looking extrior pieces like my bumpers and front fenders. holds up nicely and keeps a nice glossy finish that matches well with the factory black paint.

forgot to ask...what constitutes a "good" uv rating?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Goddamn tag nuts :smsoap:

I just had one of them seize on a bolt holding my trailer hitch on, seeing as I'm replacing/plating that rail shortly I turned green, yelled a lot, and ghetto stomped the hitch ball till I tore the tag nut through the sheetmetal. Pics to be posted later

maybee if to paint the rockers and rear bumper to match it might look good, to be honest is just do black for now and worry more about the cracks

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha yeah I know the cracks are a larger priority. I can't do anything with that til the weekend though because my and Scott's work schedules overlap so the earliest I can hope to get the cracks taken care of is this weekend, whereas I can paint/mount the bumper all by my onesy :)

:dunno: something that holds up to sunlight :D

the stuff i buy says right on it something like "superior uv protection to resist fading from direct sunlight" says it all cool and junk and so far i believe it.

then again, you could just go run to a local auto paint place and buy a quart of paint, clear, and other junk and do it to look real nice and pretty.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, the auto place I get most of my parts from does a lot of custom paints and all that junk. But that sounds way too complicated for me. Spraypaint FTW as far as I'm concerned

just do the ones i told you about, i think gloss black would look better, it hlps break up the lines better

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah. That's pretty much what I was thinking I'll go with, butttt I'm bored at work and see a bunch of people viewing the thread so figured I'd see what people thought :laugh3:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it also be interesting to try to match the body color with the bumper id honestly give it a shot, worse thing is you could loose 10 bucks

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
