Got my steel :party: except for the sheet, they wanted to sell me a whole 4x8 with some damage (for extra cheap due to the damage), would have taken it in a second but it kinda wouldn't fit in a SWB MJ with a 4cyl and d30 already sitting in the back.

Ended up with some extra as usual, I guess I'll just throw it on the stockpile till I need it.

Grabbed a pair of liberty calipers from work today. Just need the brakelines and im boltin it on. Also grabbed a free 231 with a broken tail housing for my 231/300 doubler down the road.

Fun... hope you got the brackets for the libby brakes too.

Oh yeah, my new RUST FREE MJ spare tire winch is on a usps truck heading toward me right now :D I'm gonna restore this thing to improved-original condition if it takes me ten years.

And today is really dragging by. This sucks. I hate updating/maintaining multiple analysis trackers. So much damn busywork.

Yep, but I do way more preventive maintenance than either of the previous owners... i.e. I do any preventive maintenance at all. Once I catch up, I fix things *before* they break, instead of waiting till they break then half-ass patching it back up till it limps and beating on it some more.

awesome! i just got a call from the guy from the oilfield company i met on saturday afternoon, and it's looking like they're piecing together an offer now. RAD. it would be a field engineer guy drilling natural gas, so making bank, working outside, and NOT IN A CUBE!

1 hour from rausch creek, here we come!

now i'm off to do normal, neglected maintenance to the jeep. i got 14mpg on the way home from wheeling yesterday, and that was actually better than i've gotten lately. so cap / rotor, plugs and an oil change will hopefully change that.

Kastein, I grabbed the libby brackets from the libby axle we swapped out a while ago. I now have a pair of ZJ brackets I will be selling soon.

rant on:

i go to get some tune up stuff - cap, rotor, plugs, etc. i go to put in the rotor, and the part from autozone looks like it had a friggin plastic or plastic dipped electrical contact. XXXX THAT. i'm not putting 10K+ volts through anything that isn't a copper connection. the reason i'm replacing it is for a better electrical contact, not some junk peice of shit. i then went to go return it and it took the monkeys at autozone 30 minutes to not even return it properly. then i went to advance and they didn't even know what a distributor rotor IS, and if they did have anything remotely similar to the right part, it would only be part of a $100 "tune up kit". UGHNGHGHHGG. the only parts store worth a damn around here closes at 4:30. oh well, i'll finish the shit tomorrow, gotta give me something to do then anyways.

anyone wanna recomend me good lap belts for my jeep, it wont get 5 pt till it gets a cage and im not gonna be usin the stock belts
