THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hmmm, my boss just left to go to a (assuming) 1 or 1:30 PM meeting up the road after which time he is going to work from there or home. I was going to leave at 4 to try and get Jeep work done, but I think 3:30 sounds good now...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got in to work from the Scituate lighthouse on the beach.

Time to drive to Nahant beach then go home then go eat 1000 tacos with carmelo.

My job sux.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Is Raytheon hiring? Preferably for any jobs that don't involve me being stuck in front of a blasted computer screen in a cube all day?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im gonna need me a job soon...

mooching of my parents in school is coming to and end.

wow. no one ever told my parents it was ok for their kids to mooch off them =/ and if I did, I sure as hell wouldn't own a lifted Jeep

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I mooch off my parents everyday.

I store so much crap and get access to a 3 car garage and even persuaded them to get 220V installed for me to melt metal.

I'm spoiled.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

and what about the thing with the nv4500? yeah, interest free tow rig loans? minor detail...

hahah i still have a job at school... pays ok but not a lot of hours. they pay for my cell phone and car insurance, and give me some money if i need it for food or something, and they pay my rent for my room in my house off campus.

though i do get $7000 back a semester from loans, and thats pretty much the cash they give to me for stuff anyway.

they've never given my money for the jeep except on a RARE occasion.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I moved out the second I could afford to. I like my parents, but all of us were going nuts still living together, it was time to be out on my own and everyone agreed on this.

Worked out pretty well, too. Got hired in early July, went to California for training for the last two weeks of August, went to the MIT flea in Boston right beforehand so I was already 15 minutes from the airport, while I was out there, one of my good friends from school broke up with her boyfriend and he broke the lease and moved out of their apartment, so I moved right in after going to a concert the day I got back from Cali. Rented a u-haul and moved all my stuff out of my parent's house in a single day, they were pleasantly surprised.

The best part? When I bought my Jeep a little while after that (shopped for it on mass CL while in Cali, in hindsight I should have shopped for it in Cali and taken a few days vacation to drive a rust free one cross country ) I went from borrowing my parent's ram 2500 van (aka "gas hog") 90 miles a day to driving my XJ (aka "not as much of a gas hog") 32 miles a day. The difference in gas money alone paid for my rent, at least till gas dropped below $4/gallon.

If anyone is going to apply for Textron Systems let me know first. I get $ for referrals and I will share. Travis can vouch for me. http://www.textrondefense.com/careers/main.htm

Oh really? Are they hiring any entry level mechanical engineers? I've got over a year of DoD engineering work, and worked at Raytheon last year too.

Looks like there are positions at Bell Helicopters for entry level, job 28492. Know anyone there?

when i was younger (16-17) my dad would offer me money when i went on trips or needed gas, but i would rarely take it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

after living in new paltz for four years, i'll trade some granola munchers for some taco eaters. i like eating mexican food more than veggie bullshit. and thanks to this town im already accustomed to the liberal bullshit too.

plus, socal's offroading scene is way more awesome than the NE.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If you want SoCal's "offroading scene"......go to Arizona or something. California... :puke:
