THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm planning on taking it easy and was thinking signing up for 4/5, but then I keep rethinking it and debating signing up for some combination of 6/7/8.

I'll think it over today. :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

wow, never been hung over after one beer before... I think it's more from busting my ass all day in the sun welding and not drinking enough water. Managed to get a welding sunburn too, luckily not a very bad one... BUT my welding is much improved and I made a ton of progress.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's so muggy that the air in Braintree is like water. It is very uncomfortable.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Same here. At least the temp has dropped, being outside yesterday while it was this muggy and 85+ degrees was extremely unpleasant.

When I build a garage... it's gonna be air conditioned :flame::helpme:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Definitely... but I can just get a space heater for that. And honestly working in a 40 degree garage isn't really that bad, makes the welding jacket way more comfortable.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I got Bill's battery! I'm thinking that if he's home this weekend i'd stop by, bug him, and steal his money.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I got the gears all back in the axle this weekend. Man who ever set those up was retarded.

When I checked the pinion preload with the new bearings and the old shims, there was zero preload. I also had to add 0.005" shims to each side of the carrier to get some preload.

The axle now has a u-bolt yoke on it now, robbed from the wagoneer axle chilling under my deck.

As someone who used a space heater for that purpose all during the winter, it SUCKS.

It is only good for heating the space directly in front of it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

green jeep?

Yes, green jeep. This is the rear axle, the one I bought already set up.

I also replaced the thermostat and replaced the coolant in the briarwood. There somehow got to be a lot of silt/muck in the cooling system. It is still running hot some though.

Oh yeah, i still have an extra if you need it...you were looking for one right?
edit: not sure if its a d35 one you need.

Agreed, it's muggy inside my airconditioned office. this sucks. I think I am heading into the labs cause they are more environmentally controlled (probably less humid) and at the very least the air is constantly being circulated.

You just need this space heater
I would def install heat over AC, though AC would also be nice and if I was building a garage it would probably have both. Probably have heat built into the garage and just use a big ass window AC unit.

Yeah, but still, in the winter you can bundle up... working on jeeps naked seems a poor plan especially when angle grinders and welders are involved

Are the radiator and mechanical fan clutch in good shape? e-fan still working properly?

I just got a raise.

@#$@ yeah!!
Nice!

EDIT: anyone know where I can buy one of the rubber style windshield trim ring? I've checked the usual suspects (rockauto, teamcherokee is down, discountjeepparts, summit, etc) and no one has them.
