Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This is the email my school sent out.

As you are aware, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority has enacted a Boil Water Order for many Boston area communities, including Northeastern. Boil water orders are preventative measures issued to protect public health from waterborne infectious agents that could be or are known to be present in drinking water. This is a precautionary water boil order because tap water in the impacted communities is coming from sources not previously tested and coming through a transport system not initially used. Boiling water to a rolling boil is necessary to kill the hardiest of the organisms that could cause human infection. It will take 5 – 7 days for the infection from these organisms to show their signs.

Fact Sheets and Information on Boil Water Dos and Don’ts are available on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts website at www.mass.gov

The advisories and general information about the Boil Water Order apply to all Northeastern buildings. Tap water should not be used for drinking, hand washing, food preparation or teeth brushing. Water fountains and bubblers should not be used. It is not safe to use coffee brewing machines with tap water, as the water is not brought to a boil.

Water should be rapidly boiled for at least one (1) minute before use.

Tap water is safe for bathing and showering.

You should wash your hands with soap and boiled or bottled water. If only tap water is available, it is best to use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer after hand washing. If neither is possible and your hands have been exposed to germs, such as after using the bathroom, washing with warm tap water and soap and thoroughly drying your hands is much better than not washing them at all. In these instances, try to keep your hands away from your mouth and use a hand sanitizer as soon as possible.

Researchers should review their use of tap water. Research animals should not be given tap water for hydration. All instruments that use tap water, including use in flushing and cleaning, must be cleaned with boiled or bottled water. Researchers should also review the impact of any chemical changes that may be made in the tap water on their research.

So I guess that means that I have to wash my hands again with bottled water after I get out of the shower.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I gotta say I owe one to Rob. He just happen to sell my buddy a locker and I happen to take it out the carrier that came with said locker, and then noticed you cant take the center pin out without taking the ring gear off, and I just did mine that morning and I didn't have to do that... SO it made me take a peak at what my front axle ratio really was. and there 3:07's sooo with that said

Anyone know of HP D30 4:88's for sale?

Let me know how you feel in 5-7 days Carmelo.

Yeah what's up with that? I'm not going to know what will mysteriously happen for a week...

Sounds like a trick

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

he'll feel like carmelo. which means the water will be affecting him.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I haven't been drinking the tap water, but I don't get the hysteria this is causing. Still feeling fine after washing my hands with it and whatnot. I think I brushed my teeth with it last night but I was drunk so I had forgotten. One of the reservoirs they are tapping as backup is just north of the city, Spot pond which happens to be the big pond in the middle of the Fells. Every time I go mountain biking there I refill and drink the water from that pond, and HOLY CRAP I"M FINE!! And I even see people letting their dogs swim in it?

I went to Shaws last night to pick up some cheese and maybe a gallon of water. Not only was all the normal water like Poland Spring sold out, even all the fancy "organic", "natural" and "imported" waters that are like $9 / gallon were sold out.
