THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Speaking of which, anyone want a set of axles out of a '90 ramcharger for free? vacuum disco pass drop LP44 front, and a 9.25 rear.

I'll take the rest of the drivetrain, thanks appreciate it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

mmmmm, i love it when drum brakes disappear. But my god those had to be the dirtiest drum brakes ever. Everything was covered in like 2mm of grease and shit. Oh yeah and I put a hole halfway through my fathers garage door. Thank god it just went through the inner layer of soft stuff. I can patch that up no problem (and I doubt he cares much anyway).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im gunna take the 35" claw with the sidewall hole and start throwing it around my yard everyday. afterwards, ill do some bench press reps with the 14b. i gotta get ready to defend my tire throwing title saturday.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

free anytime in the nearish future to booger them up? i'm bored a shit now that i'm done with classes (exception 2 finals) and can come down. What's your favorite beer? :D

Where there was once a drum....

:D Stupid shitty phone camera (and unsteady hand). Oh well, gots me a blue moon now so who cares.

Axle shafts going to get spacer and new bearings pressed on tomorrow. Other side of the axle is stripped down already and gets trimmed to fit the disk bracket tomorrow evening. That brake backing plate in the pic gets pulled off and sanded/painted tomorrow as well if I don't get lazy. Then Thursday/Friday it all goes back together and gets bled out. If I'm not impatient maybe do the MJ brake booster before bleeding it out.

Then it really sucks cause the one I was pulling stuff off of was a real clean 02 with 4.7 V8. Oh well, I will have to swing by everetts and see what they got and try to pull a durango box as well, I need to look around to find out what the durango box I need is along with a few other parts incase I make a JY run this wkend.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh and BTW I think I might try to run trail #10 with you guys for fall crawl. What's the possibily of body damage for a rig with 33s and lockers front/rear?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Like I said earlier, I'd say it mostly depends on how the weather is. If it's soupy and gross, I'd say odds are good. If it's reasonably dry I'd say you have a good chance of being just fine

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think I'll just put on my big boy pants and sign up for it. I'll just try to get more wheel time over the summer before I go there.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just found the brake line routing diagram for my mj in the fsm :yelclap: guess I can fix it up properly soon

Also, figured out why the IR remote for my XJ stopped working. The IR LED isn't actually lighting up even though the red light flashes, it's probably toast. Guess I'll hit radio shack for a new one tomorrow. Mark, remind me to check your remote next time I see you, also, found the plastic bit for the cargo cover you were looking for.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

there is a passenger side backing plate on the driver side.

A) I just grabbed the backing plate that I had already pulled the ebrake cable off of for convenience as a test fit.

B) On the crown Vic the drivers side caliper sits behind the axle, the passenger side caliper sits in front of the axle. But that still may be the passenger side one if you are referring to the e-brake adjustment thing being on the top.

you will be fine, i only broke a tail light last year all damage after that was tryin to pull adam out

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I am trying to decide if locked rear and truetrac front would be good enough to get me through something like #10 with anthony's old LTBs. I don't care about body damage, just as long as I can drive it home.

Edit: And I am starting to think that that brake might be in the right location/orientation. So I think you are incorrect, that is a drivers backing plate on the drivers side

edit2: When NAPA (or any parts store) says 'right rear' I think that signifies the passenger side; can anyone confirm that? I.e. I am looking at e-brake cables and everywhere refers to it in terms of 'left' or 'right' rear.
