I know, I acknowledged that.
Best bow down to your master.

Should have done your research beforehand. WTH is so cool about WJ seats? From what I've seen, they're the same as ZJs.
I did my research, and I like WJ seats better. My friend has had two WJ's, and they are extremely comfortable to sit in.

I don't get why you would buy them without having sat in them first either, unless they were really cheap.
They were fairly cheap, and they were in Bridgewater, and they were exactly what I wanted, and Adam was right there in Bridgewater, so it all worked out. I wasn't paying $250 a seat for them, and there wasn't a ton of tan leather seats that were in a decent location, weren't expensive, and were a matching set.
The yard is private, and they needed a deposit before they even pull the seats. Adam is going to be kind enough to inspect them once they are pulled, and if they aren't up to snuff, he is going to get his deposit back.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i wanna be cool and have the correct miles. i wonder what it would take to turn them back.....

ps Rob- my buddy's buddy ended up buying the truck from the guy that had the axles. my buddy said the guy sold them with the truck but the axles are stuck in the backyard. i told him he doesnt want the rear axle and that it wont work for him, im fairly certain he'll just give it to me, it might take a case or two of beer to convince him though
good to know, keep me updated sir.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

97 and later had the electronic odos, if you have a DRB II machine you can set them to whatever you want.

96 down they're just the little wheels from what I've seen...

Actually, Colin - how many miles did the MJ have on it? I'm going to set the RENIX cluster I got at the JY a while ago for instrumentation on my compressor/generator to the same mileage just for shits and giggles/practice.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i just got done watching the hangover, a couple coworkers said it was great, i think its ok, def not worth the $20 i spent on it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Name
Body Control Module (BCM)

Location
Attached to the Junction Block, under the driver's side of the instrument panel.

Function
The BCM utilizes integrated circuitry and information carried on the Programmable Communications Interface (PCI) data bus network along with many hard wired inputs to monitor many sensor and switch inputs throughout the vehicle. The BCM supports many body electrical features such as Interior Lighting, Exterior Lighting, Intermittent Wipers, Remote Radio, Accessory Delay, and Heated Seats.

If you feel like grabbing this, so be it. If you see some, see if you can get the heated seat switches too, with pigtails.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hey Ross, that is true.

But actually, there is a write up on here that goes step by step on how to fix the odometer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I read that as get switches will all wahr'ing. Will see what I can do. Wahr'ing doesnt weigh much so I'll pick it up. Hell maybe get it all the way to/from the controller and back to the seats if it's there. Then all you gotta do is wahr'dup

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

RENIX ones are trivial, I just set the one for my compressor/generator to 0. I think I'm going to make it count operating hours if I can find a way to do so easily.

Had no idea what I was doing when I started, it took about 3 minutes to figure out how the whole thing worked.

ive seen some before and was jsut searching some of them. they are all RENIX era ones with mech speedo's, theres some talk on wether or not the later 91+ ones can be done the same way but nothing defenitive. if someone gives me a cluster, i have nothing against tearing it apart to find out.

I think ~118k?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the 96 odo I'm looking at right now does in fact look more difficult. Instead of a clip ring holding the rollers together it's got a pressed on bronze/brass ring. I think with special tools it'd be possible to pull the ring out a bit, adjust, then press it back in, but with what I have here it's not possible... sucks because my spare/replacement cluster has 137 on it (from Sam) but my XJ has 140 something on it, so I guess I can't really use it.

EDIT: Colin - it's got zero now! low mileage 2.5 for saaaaaaaale :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have a corded drill and a zip tie. That will eventually get me to where I want to be :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't recall what he charged me for it, think it was 10 or 20? yours for 10, it's just taking up space here
