Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

for the first time ever today, i was within a half inch of dragging knee on my bike. i learned the art of repositioning the body on the bike in a turn and ohmygawd. i could take the same turns at like 15-20% faster.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that's what i hear...your hips go all over the place when you get aggressive on a bike

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah. changes the COG. i'm no where near as awesome as this guy, but i was playing (and winning) a little game i made up for myself during the course today. if i was in the front, see how fast i could catch up to the guy in the back of the pack. with 3 riders going around a 30 foot circle and 6 feet between bikes, i caught up to the tail bike in 2 laps :D the instructor laughed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

well my roommate danielle who got the cat wanted to call it amelia, but another of my roommates emily blurted out swamphead, and it stuck since :roflmao:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yikes.

... and that's why I don't own a bike...

the MJ will do 80 through the twisty part of i290 through worcester quite happily though, even with an AX4/5 and a 4cyl in the back.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you dump yet anthony? im overdue for a good dump :D
i dumped twice today. but if you're talking about my bike, i had a low-speed drop last august. it was a combination of low tire pressure, object fixating, and a bump. "look where you go, go where you look" is for serious.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the guy in the pic isn't low siding. he's pwning.

I gotta work on that, problem with my bike I drag pegs far sooner than I would get to my knee (which I have done before) plus my bias ply tires don't take quite as kindly to super aggressive riding. Then again I haven't tried to push these new tires at all since they are still in their break in period, but even after only 20 miles I can feel that they will be nice. :) lately I have been thinking of selling the XT, selling the altima, buying an older vette for summers (found a 96 vette, 46k miles, in great shape for just under $6k), Jeep for winters, and buying the Triumph speed triple that I want. I might even consider selling my FZX700 though that would depend on how comfortable the speed triple is (if comfortable enough for a long ass ride I would sell the fazer)

I was wondering what kind of riding course you were taking. Performance riding or did you just push yourself harder than normal because you weren't on your own bike? :D

the thing with dragging knee is that you shift your weight to keep the bike more upright to be able to go faster through the turn. why not get a bike that's easy to get parts for? triumph tripples are sweet, but have fun getting parts cheaps.

And idk what you're trying to say. Bikes are awesome.

i didn't really have a good response to that, so i just let it be.

how about: i can do 80 in a 40 on my bike without breaking a sweat. does that count for anything?
