Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
what a nice name for a cat.
what a nice name for a cat.
i dumped twice today. but if you're talking about my bike, i had a low-speed drop last august. it was a combination of low tire pressure, object fixating, and a bump. "look where you go, go where you look" is for serious.you dump yet anthony? im overdue for a good dump![]()
for the first time ever today, i was within a half inch of dragging knee on my bike. i learned the art of repositioning the body on the bike in a turn and ohmygawd. i could take the same turns at like 15-20% faster.
yeah. changes the COG. i'm no where near as awesome as this guy, but i was playing (and winning) a little game i made up for myself during the course today. if i was in the front, see how fast i could catch up to the guy in the back of the pack. with 3 riders going around a 30 foot circle and 6 feet between bikes, i caught up to the tail bike in 2 lapsthe instructor laughed.
the thing with dragging knee is that you shift your weight to keep the bike more upright to be able to go faster through the turn. why not get a bike that's easy to get parts for? triumph tripples are sweet, but have fun getting parts cheaps.I gotta work on that, problem with my bike I drag pegs far sooner than I would get to my knee (which I have done before) plus my bias ply tires don't take quite as kindly to super aggressive riding. Then again I haven't tried to push these new tires at all since they are still in their break in period, but even after only 20 miles I can feel that they will be nice.lately I have been thinking of selling the XT, selling the altima, buying an older vette for summers (found a 96 vette, 46k miles, in great shape for just under $6k), Jeep for winters, and buying the Triumph speed triple that I want. I might even consider selling my FZX700 though that would depend on how comfortable the speed triple is (if comfortable enough for a long ass ride I would sell the fazer)
Yikes.
... and that's why I don't own a bike...
the MJ will do 80 through the twisty part of i290 through worcester quite happily though, even with an AX4/5 and a 4cyl in the back.
military sport bike rider course. i was on my own bike. it's mine so i'm gonna ride it for what it was made. else wtf is the point in having a toy?I was wondering what kind of riding course you were taking. Performance riding or did you just push yourself harder than normal because you weren't on your own bike?![]()
i didn't really have a good response to that, so i just let it be.And idk what you're trying to say. Bikes are awesome.
