THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Thanks, I'll have to check that. Funny thing is he claims he wasn't doing anything stupid with it, just driving and it happened.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

cool...hey did anyone tell you that you look like a really annoying retard?

-definitely not Adam...serioulsly

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Carmelo - so uh, you are damn good at alignments and IFS/IRS from what I recall. A friend of mine has a 97 Audi Quattro A4 AWD, he was driving it two days ago and heard a loud sort of pop/bang and now it makes grinding noises when he goes over bumps. The rear left wheel is at about a 15 degree angle from vertical. What do you think broke? I looked at it and to me it looked like the coil on the strut was bowed out toward the inside of the vehicle but I wasn't sure and I couldn't see anything damaged.

I haven't read the posts on the next page yet but without looking at it I can say that he's going to need something fixed before he can get an alignment. Something bent or broke...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

strut could be bent Ken, or a bent trailing arm. Compare everything to the other side to see if anything is bent.

-Mel (really Adam though)
Haha, I started reading that and was like "oh damn, Melissa really knows her sh*t."

THAT'S WHO THAT SCREEN NAME IS!
Haha, ya that's Melissa.

I believe that.

P.S. Twilight sucks....

Oh yeah any alignment questions can go to Adam not me BTW. He does legitimate alignments at Sears. I have yet to have to change out one strut. Not even a quick strut. Hopefully I never will...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh and Mark, while you still may be in the running as there's a good chance I may have to drop my transmission and drill out and helicoil my transmission to engine bolt holes. My Honcho runs. The transmission doesn't leak, at least while in park, externally, and I know at least park works. My driveshaft was too short so I have to make one soon but I have the measurements and I might be to get the front one done by the end of the week. Then we'll see if the tranny really works.

Oh I am 100% aware of this, was just hoping you could magically tell me what broke without seeing the vehicle :looney:

Yeah... I don't think this is gonna be a fun project.

:yelclap: hope it stays together.

I didn't change barely any gaskets but I think it will be fine. I put that transmission together real careful. Besides everything was brand new in the other one. The seals along the inside where better than mine and the valve body gasket was still coated in wd40(you coat it before you put it in). So the guy I got it off of wasn't lying about it having been just rebuilt and not used.

Ya, that blows that you have to drop it again. So I'm going to win by not having mine together first, right?

And speaking of struts, is there any way you could grab those rear hatch struts of that Jeep if you have some time?

(and I don't mean do like you did to that perfectly mint woodgrain dash bezel, I mean *carefully* remove)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

And I want 4.88s so Colin will get off my back :D
