I've only slept two hours and I've been studying all night and I don't care cuz it's Honcho day! Honcho gives me special powers! Honcho power that is. Self explanatory really, don't be stupid!
awesome! get it running
Hey Ross and Adam. I remember you guys remarking about my set of SK sockets/ socket wrench when you were down, saying they were better quality than you've seen before.
I forgot to tell you, that is because they are at least 60 years old. Those were my grandfathers sockets. They work awesome, I'm a little pissed my 13/16" broke the other weekend.
they just don't make stuff like they used to... reminds me of something I found out when Mad River Glen rebuilt their single chair lift. They needed some replacement pieces for some of the tower lattice work and simply couldn't find anyone selling the required metal stock, they had the existing parts tested and it was stronger than anything made in those sizes today. The lift was built shortly after WWII and the only thing they could guess at was that most of the metal that went into the lift was recycled armor plate or something. Might be an urban legend, but pretty cool.
Also, I woke up early enough to get to the JY before work for the first time in forever... it was great. I have almost everything I need to make the air compressor now (just ECU and connector left, plus everything not sourced from a jeep.) I hit up the Ford section again, those fuses I pulled came from mid to late 90s F-150s. 94 does not have them, 96/97/98 do, 00 does not. I'm not sure about 95 and 99 though, someone who knows the F150 changeover years better than me can probably make an educated guess at this.
EDIT: I got:
* alternator field coil plug (hopefully it's the same 6cyl vs 4cyl)
* ICM harness plugs
* MAP sensor and plugs
* gauge cluster and plugs
* RENIX diagnostic connectors
I'm gonna end up doing a 100% custom wiring harness for it... this is gonna be fun
Also, if anyone wants an NP242 with 21 splines, there is one in the red late-80s Limited right at the front of the XJ row at Sam's.
