EDIT: Rob, maybe I'm confused, isn't this for a pinion nut?
spinlde nut for the 70

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

THAT WOULD BE A HUGE PINION NUT!!!! even my 14 is only a 1.5"
hahaha yeah I got that:

that's almost exactly 65mm, any chance you happen to have a 65mm socket around? (haha, that's real likely, right?)

Christ, I only realized just how big 2 9/16" is when I calculated that.

OK... slightly less amazed by the size of the axle Rob is working on now. Only slightly. Makes a bit more sense as a spindle nut.

WTF, I found that and got excited that I finally found the XJ I wanted (but didn't read any of the text, the colors made my head hurt) Then noticed the engine seemed a bit... short :gee: GODDAMN4CYLENGINE

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

a 2000 is more likely to have heat soak issues, but that isn't that big a problem to fix...

anyone running 215/75r15s on a stocker? I've got a 215 spare, brand new still has the paint on the tread, that I'd love to trade for a 225. Hell, I'll trade it for just a rim if you have the same rims that are on my MJ, no tire is required. This pic shows the rim I want pretty well: http://img641.imageshack.us/i/pict0025a.jpg/

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, that was the only problem I could think of. What are the signs of that? I forget what to look for.

Other than that I couldn't think of any other reason not to get a 00/01. Other than LPD30 and that doesn't matter since it is staying my stock DD. If anything it would be getting trimmed down ZJ coils to make the ride a bit firmer.

Edit and by what are the signs I was more wondering what to look for since IIRC there was someproblem with the intake or heads or something, idk. looking that stuff up now.

edit 2: the issue I was thinkign of was the cracking manifold. Any easy way to check for that if it is not a visible crack?

0331 head, forgot that.

I'd really aim for a 99.

Anthony - that blows :( is it a hardware store item or a special order?

If Jeff didn't have it I'd say just go to a dealer or something :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hahaha that guy from weymouth is the biggest joke. he always has wrong info in the posts and he never has any of those cherokees listed, its always an excuse like it just sold or i told the girl to remove that ad

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm pretty sure they have short roof racks from 99(?) and later. and the front bumper end cap is the old style, along with the tail lights and a few other things. whenever i've been looking for vehicles I've never even bothered with dealers, since they rip you off, don't know their shit, etc etc. Especially one that has ALL CAPS LOCK IN ITS AD IT MUST BE AN AWESOME JEEP SINCE THEY ARE YELLING!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh I didn't even notice that was the guy in Weymouth too. Watch out for him!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It is the older body style.

- Sport trim along the lower body
- bumper caps
- mirrors are small and square
- two part window glass on front doors
- fender flares are definitely not the new smooth curve style
- can't quite see the marker lights, but they look too big to be a 97+
- I want to say that steering wheel looks like a 94-down, but I'm not really sure

EDIT:
- hatch is not smoothly curved, and has molded in ridge over license plate instead of plastic trim
