THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'd do that every day for the rest of my life for that price.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

wow, 14 bolts are wicked simple. that was probably the quickest/easiest axle strip ive ever done. the adjusters for the carrier are stupid easy and the dropout pinion makes it a breeze to get in there and clean the case out. and since mines a newer housing, it has the super simple wheel hub retainers that take no effort to remove.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

did you tear it apart to verify it needs a rebuild, i had no issues besides the greaseable bolt not takin grease
Apparently I can't remember anything, I forgot you said that. I planned on tearing it apart and figuring out what it needed for parts tonight, then ordering.

i was offerd $150 to install a locker in a 10bolt of a coworkers cutlass
Sounds like a plan to me, I wish I got offered that kind of cash to wrench

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I wish I got offered cash to wrench at all. I usually end up paying for the parts and never getting refunded :thumbdn:

you need a 14bolt. those shafts are sweeeeeeet. i was playing with mine today, they almost make the 60 shafts look small

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so i just had an argument about different types of welding with a guy here at work. he claims he bought a mig/tig machine at home depot, and made it sound like it didn't cost that much. he seems to think that tig is anything that requires shielding gas :gee: and i couldn't persuade him otherwise. when i described to him what tig welding actually is, he said "oh, you mean stick welding?" goddam analysis engineers shouldn't try to learn how to work on things.

it wasn't about that. he thought that his mig setup with shielding gas was welding tig and that mig was only done with flux core wire. it was just annoying. after about 5 minutes i STFU and decided it wasn't worth it and i'm going to let him live in his own little world.

Ask him what TIG and MIG actually stand for, then ask him where the Tungsten is with his set up.

Then kick him in the n*ts for thinking that TIG/MIG came on the same machine. (I'm sure there are very costly industrial units that come like this, but lets face it, most people won't have that)

Its a clusterf*ck because I have a piece of sh*t Jeep sitting in there blocking me from putting all the crap back!

I plan on getting the Jeep on its wheels, pushing it outside, stripping the unibody, and cleaning the garage before it goes back in.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Kyle - haha the only way I could make your jeep faster is if it's one of those little remote controlled ones. The jet we're working on produces about zero thrust, it mostly produces noise, flames, air volume, and negative cash flow.
