Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

screw you guys, it was goddamn cold out today.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah i had a wonderful day at work today:badpc:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I was painting too. And I also agree it was nice, the first coat dried very well. Light breeze with sun.. Then sun went away and the 2nd coat was a bit more reluctant to dry. Probably partially because of the sun and partially because of the fact that the first coat was the rust converter and the 2nd coat was straight up rattle-can paint.

Anyway, on that note: I actually spent time to make a part of my Jeep LOOK better today. That has got to be a first  Good thing the part that I spent time the part I spent time making aesthetically "good" will be hidden under the Jeep in a wheel . Before/after pics of my afternoon:

Got a bunch more wiring work done this weekend. Adam came over both days and gave me a ton of help and kept my sanity. I screwed up a couple wires but we fixed them. Gave my soldering iron quite a workout.

Before engine side harness...

After engine side harness...(doesn't look like much but it's all wrapped back up)

Next weekend I'm going to fix my the ball joints/u-joints on my truck and maybe get started on yanking the drivetrain out of the MJ.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

working on daily drivers sucks. my ranger has needed a tune up, a speed sensor and rear brakes for 2 years. and the positive battery cable is held on with vice grips

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so ive been searchin random shit on pirate came across some info on dodge aam axles, the 10.5 rear has 30 spline 1.75" shafts, the power wagon 10.5 and 11.5 has 30 spline 2.005" shafts:shocked: makes me wanna by one

Speaking of next wkend... does anyone have a bearing puller and/or bearing press plus a couple hours to give me a hand? Apparently one part of the disk brake swap I am doing is to add a bearing spacer (which the instructions say should be done professionally )

I would love to be able to pull the current bearings and re-use them since I think they were done a few years ago, but I don't mind buying new bearings if needed. Regardless I will still need a puller/press (or someone who is good at "pressing" in bearings with a mallet :D). I should be able to have all of the work done up to the point where the bearings need to be pulled/installed before I need any help/tools, so it shouldn't take long. And I will have food/beer on hand.

Edit: actually, next wkend is easter wkend I think... so it would have to be a saturday morning thing since I have to be out in central MA by 3 or 4 PM on saturday to take my grandparents to dinner. So that narrows down the time window but if anyone can help I will def still work on it fri/sat morn.

Started my day of good by making $75 to do pads and one rotor on a Chebby Tahoe:thumbup: Then it was ruined by finding out your Grandmother passed away while you're at work :thumbdn:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Thanks guys. She's been in the hospital for a while now and it was only a matter if time before it happened. We all knew it and were ready. Last night around 11 my aunt said goodnight and she was all set and fine, then this morning her lung filled up with fluid and eventually colaped for the 3rd time. We just let nature take it's course and let her sleep. Worste is I havn't seen her since Christmas but I'd rather see her the was she was at Christmas than how she was in the hospital living via machines. Crazy old lady would kill a 30 rack and a carton of butts in a day.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
