Just drill it out and runa nut/bolt through it. That's what I did.

Not a bad idea especially since I have to do the rocker on that side anyway. Hopefully I can get up in there to get a nut on.

Rob - electrical. 91 and up are all electrical, 90 and down are mechanical.

got my arp flexplate bolt,s apatently there .125" longer then stockers and will stick out the crank that much, but it dont look like they will interfere with anything i just need to clean up the threads in the end of the crank, anyone got a 1/2-20 tap i can borrow?

i have one. i know there are others closer though.

could just cut em down, got an angle grinder handy?

:twak: NO. that will ruin the heat treatment.

no... if you wanted to cut those it would be hack saw or lathe with tons of coolant and nothing else. cutting them at all is dumb too.

My dad never gave a CRAP about what his car looked like compared to garage queens.

He would wash it/wax it etc, however that NEVER stopped him from beating on it.

If he can't enjoy a car, it's not worth it.

I'm sitting next to a gasket kit for a Turbo 400 and I fell asleep reading a book on the dissasembly and rebuilding of TH400s. I got a DVD on it too but it's locked in my other laptop's drive. I am going to break the Honcho immediately after I fix it. If anyone wants to wheel with me make sure you come my first time back out again because I'm going to DESTROY it.

i see no reason to cut the bolts i now get more thread engagment wich ='s stronger, and it dont look like the bolts will infere with anything

Sure, if I finish replacing the frontend on the MJ fast enough tomorrow/saturday morning I might hit Sam's or Holland's (probably the latter, I need to start pulling stuff and hiding it)
