OH NOEZ! BFG KM2's are 2 dollhairs cheaper in the 35" flavor than the 33" flavor. Now I'm deff getting 4.88's so I can trim and run 35s when I decide I hate my 33s now.

And when I read 'gearbox' I was thinking it meant AX-15 issues, not steering box. If it's the steering box then that is even easier to fix

I somehow read steering gear box haha...my mistake. You can call up Anthony and bribe him to fix the ax15 with the other one he has.

if i had all the parts, i could do another one in a day. but i'm done with transmissions for now. doublers are way more awesome. the D300 is going back together between tonight and tomorrow night.

They were built to be beat on.

Some came from the factory with 440s as well as NP435s (yes the 6.68:1 first gear ones).

I could blow up the transmission either my XJ or my MJ (hell, both of em, I have plenty of spare transmissions) and have it running again tomorrow if I really had to. If I wiped the side of the bed with a tree, though, I'd be out a few hundred bucks and/or fairly pissed off before it would look nice again.

I wouldn't want to bounce a trailduster off trees... I mean, I don't want to bounce my XJ off trees either, but at least I can pick up a new one in pretty dent free condition for under 2k, or fix it for small money.

Eh, that's just like owning an muscle or exotic car and you don't want to drive it 'cause you might get a rock chip. I like driver's, not garage "under the cover" queens. Granted I don't want my truck all beat up, but that is a DD, not a "toy".
