Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ummmm, did you not see the end that said he fractured one of his vertebrae?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Now I just have to figure out a good way to make a CB/ham radio bracket that goes between the headliner and the roof, I'm thinking that bending up some 3" 10ga flat stock and screwing it to the leading and trailing roof crossmembers will work nicely.
I have a HF break that supposedly does up to 16 gauge steel. I am making a roof mount system for my stereo out of some 16 gauge plus re-enforcement material. i have plenty of 16 gauge left. You are free to mooch some of my steel to make a roof mount if you want.

All that ends Friday night...
(speaking of which, I doubt I'll need help but if anyone feels like dropping by and shooting the shit, I'll throw some beer in the fridge)
I may be able to stop by for a while. See above comment if you want me to bring said items.

buy my tie rod i have for sale dont wate your money on balistic crap
will be looking in the classifieds, incase I cant find it, how much and what do ya got?

Hell yeah, gonna be sweet peeing in my xj while it runs  What else can we do to XXXX it up?
Jump the fawk out of it

It has no brakes and it wont be driven anywhere.

That's a good question, because I know I have 2 airbags from my '99 as well.

find something to do.

Or just google 'airbag launch' videos and find something amusing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anthony, you have a longer aperture on those photos.

My man!

See Mark, this how you get respect. Not only has Rob destroyed more jeeps than you, but his dick is apparently larger as well.

Haha, nice.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i figured if anyone would notice, you would :-p

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

edit on my last comment... i have a HF break that supposedly do up to 16 gauge and I have spare 18 gauge laying around, and I plan on using 18 gauge plus reinforcement to make mine.

Can bring those, but can't bring 16 gauge. I was sitting here watching a show thinkign "something about that last post still doesn't feel right", I went back and re-read it and realized I had mentioned the wrong gauge sheet. Whoops.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I hope to get mucho stuff done this weekend.
Same, I'll hopefully have a 2wd beam to throw at someone on saturday morning

well a 95 is self contained but I'm sure we can find a way to make it do something stupid. Or sell it on CL for 30 bucks.

That's a good question, because I know I have 2 airbags from my '99 as well.
Can I measure the resistance of the squib on them? It might set them off which is why I haven't done it yet, but I suggest we put things on top of them and set them off intentionally right after that. Sam and a few of the guys in mod tech could use the measurements I need to take, measuring is easier than fully reverse engineering the board in the ACM.

I'll probably be using much heavier steel than that because the strip has to run the length of the roof (3-4 feet) without any support in the middle, I'm thinking 1/8 or 3/16 thick 3" wide strip. Probably won't bend very nicely on the brake, but it'll do fine in my vise, which I was planning on using. Feel free to show up anytime, just alert me first so I can make sure I'll actually be present or tell you where I went because I may be spending the rest of the day building storage shelves out of 2x4s, plywood, and cement blocks at my storage unit, assuming I get the axle in quickly.

Ha, glad I didn't disappoint Anthony.

as long as you promise not to set them off. (I know you said you might, but I'm making you promise).
I was planning on keeping them, they are in my basement with my good parts pile

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

OK, I promise that if I set them off, I'll do it when you are leaning over them so that you don't remember what happened. :eyes:

I doubt it will, but it might... there is always that possibility. If it does, I'll pick up a replacement or three at the all you can carry.
