THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I also only have 4.10s and won't be hammering on it TOO much (still DD) so I don't think the carrier flexing and shit will be too much of a worry

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hey i'm still an employee (technically, they don't want to burn bridges)! the bonus wasn't even close enough to a selectable, so what I meant to say was the best lunchbox locker. I know it's on the fence with a lot of people between Lockright / Aussie, and I'll probably just order one tonight, get that shit in for next week wheeling!

edit: and actually if I were to get another selectable, I'd probably get another ECTED sine I love mine. but they're way more expensive than they used to be! I got my ECTED for like $550 shipped. now they're $650+ plus shipping in most places I've seen

you are the only person i know who likes there ected, i know 3 peaple who have sent theres back multiple time and they still dont work for shit, as far as lunchbow lockes, if i was to go new id go aussie, i loved the one in my 8.25, the lockrite in the 30 was awsome too but not as awsome as the aussie

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, did you ever find a place to vulcanize your tire? My spare tire has a nice gash in it, with a patch on the inside. I would like to get that patched up as well, especially if I decide to sell the 33's.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If i get 4.10's for my thirty, would anyone be able to help or guide me through the install?
Beer will be involved.
Well I've never installed gears before but if enough beer were involved I'm sure I could figure it out :gee:

In all seriousness, wish I could help. I will be teaching myself on my next set of axles when I don't have any time constraints of when I want/need it done by.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Im open to doing it myself, just not sure of the specifics of it.
Im pretty sure theres some fine alignment involved.

Mark, I've gotcha beat. That came off my old Jeep, it did have the inner part of the bearing on it too but it slid right off. Who needs bearing anyways???

sheep loves his ecteds too, no problems on either his or mine so far. i'll probably buy an aussie tomorrow, and hopefully can have it installed for wheeling next weekend

I gots a set of 4.10 gears for a 30 I might not be needing :eyes: brand new, if you don't mind Motives that is.

Heck, I would have installed them already if I didn't look at prices on good gear setup tools (after Bill talked me out of getting crappy brand ones, thanks) and realized I could pick up a d30 with 4.10s already in it for the same price as just the tools, or even less, if I waited long enough. Knowing my luck the axle will be utterly trashed and not worthy of being bought and I'll end up buying the tools and learning to do gears myself anyways, but I have high hopes for it being in good shape.

Done hacking for the night... passing out time

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Has anyone here actually seen an 8.8 spin the tubes because I've yet to find anyone who has. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I hear more talk about it then actually seeing it happen. I've also seen alot of thrashed 8.8's and there tubes were not welded. Just seems to be one of those things you hear more of then see.

actually i havent, everyone i know is smart enough to weld them.

i have however seen a couple spun 8.25 tubes and a dana35 with a spun centersection (no other damage to the 35, it was pretty amazing)

[terrible pic removed]

adam, i'm pretty sure mark has you beat. in his, i can see that there are a few bearings missing. none of the picture that you took is in focus haha.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah but I'm a first hand witness of Adam's bearing.

Witness > photograph.

That thing was FAWKED! I'm surprised the wheel was still on it. Worst bearing I've EVER seen.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i believe that haha
