THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Think again... an hpd30 weighs in at what, 150? 175? pounds. An 8.8 weighs in at over 200 last time I checked. Both at the same time simply is not happening.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

He wants to order it soon. He said he has the money, he wants me to put it in my account and order it from fullsizexj. Said sister is his twin and wont be there :(

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

As for axles, they are my last concerns. The 4.10s will make the trip to RC a helluva lot easier. But I'm selling my DD and my bike right now in order to buy a smoother driving, better looking, more dependable DD and I can tackle the gears in the Jeep over the winter/fall time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Keith, are you right in Hampstead, or just nearby?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Gotcha :) just curious... I think Sandown is like another 5-10 min from me, but still not bad at all. What's your buddy doing for a lift etc? I might have missed it...?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You didnt miss it I forgot to add it. RE 4.5 SF I pretty much told him when he bought the Jeep that it was the one he was going to get. That or the Clayton one, he chose RE.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

holy crap my mass tax return already is direct deposited? shit that was like 5 days!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

whoever was talking about the factory alarm the disarm wire is green/orange in the driver kick panel.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i think it's finally time to retire my hat. last night when i pulled my 231 i spilled gear lube from the tranny all over it. by geal lube i mean 75/25 mix of 30wt motor oil and gear lube.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

steve, damnit. i just realized i forgot again. so it probably won't happen until after the weekend.

And get a mapp/oxy torch.

And be prepared to get drop brackets or longarms, as RE lifts ALWAYS give more than advertised.

My brother got 4.5-5" out of his 3.5" setup. Granted he has no armor or anything on it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

And get a mapp/oxy torch.
Colin's answer to everything.

While I will say that would be nice to have, it is not a necessity.

(And now is where Colin comes in saying all the bolts he has been able to get off with the torches, and how he wouldn't have been able to have done so before hand)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin's answer to everything.
That's 'cause fire is the answer to almost everything when it come to removing old hardware.
While I will say that would be nice to have, it is not a necessity.
Incorrect sir. There are bolts I know I would have had to drill out if I didn't have heat. Even MAPP alone is better than nothing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oooh. wonder if he will ship. Time to find out :D

Edit: Damnit, why did you have to post that. I was just thinking this morning that my bank account balance is real low compared to what it was a couple months ago (though I realize I have a paycheck that I havent deposited yet and taxes incoming)... then I told myself that after paying off the work that is getting done to the Jeep now I am done upgrading with the exception of my rear brakes and front axle shafts...

I don't think I would end up buying those since shipping will prolly kill the deal... but stop posting deals, eventually one will be close enough for me to jump on it! :rof:

I haven't needed heat for removing any bolts. The one bolt that I can remember actually breaking that has been a pain to work with was one of my crossmember bolts.

Ask Ross and Adam. Ross brought his torch when he came down the other weekend, and the heat did not get it out. The bolt only broke further.
