Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so me thinkin about not running cv's on my driveshafts, i dont see why they would be needed on my rig, aint like it will see high speeds

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Why would you weld ANY of that without mocking it under the XJ first? Seems like you are begging to redo somethings to me.

I know I know I know, I will agree I should have. I blame Mark for wanting his TIG back :D I am waiting for the axle to be under before I mess with the UCA location, but I know where my LCA's arms are gunna be and Im happy with the angles on the coil buckets/truss/caster.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Finally shutting the laptop off. Done with work for the night. Now what should I do...

You're just gonna end up cutting of the TIG welds. :roflmao:

How do you know the angle of the LCA? How do you know that you don't wan to stretch the coil buckets outward or backward (moving the axle forward)? I must have moved my buckets three times (only tacking them) before I was really happy with their placement.

Anyone care to find me a pancake muffler and cat converter? Single in and out, 2.5" diameter exhaust tubing. I need something thinner than 3". If it was 2.5" and super quiet that would be ideal. I've searched Summit Racing and Jegs, no luck.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Whelp, order placed for a bunch of relays and a car remote door lock/unlock alarm thing. Hopefully my "brilliant" plan works :roflmao: Now I just gotta find somewhere to pick up a flashing LED or 2 and a couple DPDT relays. I'm thinking radio shack will do well enough for me.
You probably can get away with an SPST and a DPDT, or two diodes, an SPST, and two SPDTs (much more common than DPDT automotive, nearly free at junkyards.)

I kicked the LCA mounts a little bit more then stock and angled them in a little bit more to shoot the to around jsut inside the framerails jsut in front of the crossmember area. I have the buckets straight up on the axle, Im planning on stretching the front out a few inches.

You laugh, I was debating making my own chamber and pack it, but it doesn't solve my cat converter problem.

 i wanna try making a couple with different baffels and see what i can make for tones. Bill, the pepboys near me has magnaflow cats in 2.25 and 2.5" flavors, nice and compact too. Stainless steel, $85, MADE IN USA :rtm:
