THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ya think? who in their right mind would let me drive and operate a 30 ton crane truck? :D
I would, if I wasn't paying for the insurance and didn't live near the construction zone...

most are about 1/2 tread, iirc.
And ill be around most of the week at night, and ill see if i can grab that tomorrow for ya.
I was going to see if you wanted to do comanche stuff one night anyway.
 gimme heads up a day in advance and I can probably be there any evening of the week, just tell me what tools I should bring :D

further... it is just after 7 and I am awake and dressed? WTF? I could almost get used to this again

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

its just after 7 and i am cutting and welding metal

my sleep schedule is all XXXXed up from this weekend and its like my body thinks its the afternoon

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I am usually up and dressed shortly after 7. Sometimes even before 7. I did let myself hit snooze a couple times this morning. It was awesome. :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I try to be up by 6 and showered/dressed by 6:40, sometimes it doesn't happen.

I wish I wasn't working today. If it's supposed to be 60, I would love to be w31dz1nat0r1ng all day.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

For most of the last 6-8 months or so I've been snoozing it until like 8AM. Hell, I went to sleep at like 1 this morning and I still woke up at 6:30 (planned 6) feeling great...

Now it just needs to get to the point that it's light out till 8/9 and I can really get some stuff done on the Jeeps. I've got two trannies to drop, four axles to swap, and a transfer case to install and haven't wanted to do any of it due to the snow on the driveway and darkness... oh, and a lot of body work to do.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I thought you were all set with that but if you think it still needs more let me know. I've had some experience in fixing vehicles with that type of damage before and I can bring my porta power which works pretty good at moving them back to square.

Yeah my dad can definitely get a windshield in now, but the pillar isn't the prettiest (who cares).

There is a definite gap between the pillar and the door since the pillar crushed the door a bit. I'm going to try and bend the pinch seam for the weatherstripping straight and see if I can fill the gap again.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

really do not want to be at work right now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Billy - it was you that drove back home after rolling and kicking your windshield out, right? How bad did you find the wind on the highway? I'm strongly considering ripping the junk windshield out of the MJ and cleaning up + painting any rust problems on the frame before I bring it to windshield world, and I want to find out if I should get a set of aviator sunglasses or just borrow a friend's motorcycle helmet...

Also, leetspeak never really did have any draw on me, even though I'm a turbo nerd :dunno:

Scott - you're lucky and have a garage but yeah the cold/dark suck :spin1:

EDIT: Anthony, for some reason I don't mind at all today. I'd rather be in the parking lot under the Jeep of course but for some reason today is not a bad day...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it's not so much the weather for me... i just need more days in the weekend.

but my office mate is nuts. you know how sometimes on craigslist people will post duplicate ads for their stuff? he just called someone that had posted some duplicates and bitched them out and told them to delete the old ones.

Yikes, that's a little crazy. I've emailed people but never bothered calling... I hate the phone and avoid it when possible. Reminds me though, I should take an ad or two down.

Colin - try the junkyards already? I imagine those must be hard to find in the yard these days though...

Haven't tried the ones in Billerica that I had the most luck with.

Billy usually has pretty good luck finding waggy stuff so I might ping him.

If not...I hope it doesn't come down to me needing to buy alloys to get wheelin.

I wouldn't think that it is TOO much worse than riding a motorcycle so either a helmet or glasses should be fine. Just open all of the other windows so the wind can escape the cabin.

The garage is nice but for evening work it doesn't help too much. The effort required to get all my tools and shit set up, then do a bit of work, then the cleanup so the parents can get back into the garage is kindof a PITA and is almost not worth the time when I get home at 6:00. It is nice when I get my father to agree to park his car outside for the week and he lets me leave the Jeep in there overnight so everything is out and ready to go when I get home though :) Problem there is that when it is cold/bad weather out he likes to have his vehicle in the garage.... i.e. the times I would be able to use the garage the most is when he is using it. It's just as easy for me to pull the welder or toolbox outside and work on the Jeep on the driveway where I can just push everything off to the side when I am done and leave it for the next day.
