Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

loon was pretty hit or miss today. some of the trails were relatively decent while others were solid sheets of ice. and it switched up in the middle of the day too. too bad my lunch beers didn't give me as much energy as i wanted!

Bretton was the same today. Although Mass's school vaca brought a ton of jail bait to the mtn and made me sad.

hmm trails seemed to come out good last night. was it skiied off or just icy?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

skiied off mainly by the end of the day. south peak got pretty good around noon when it warmed up a bit and softened up but then because of that got bumpy and icy later on in the afternoon.

i didnt drink at all that day since i knew i was gonna get pulled over on the way home, and i dont and have never drank while wheelin or driving

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

a water main or something blew up in front of my house today. the street has been flooded and flowing like river. they started working on it around noon and theyre still there and its still flowing. they even had the fire hydrant open at one point.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ok, who did I talk with recently that has a 5spd XJ front drive shaft (apparently it is ~3" shorter than an auto's).
I could use one assuming the slip and CV are in great shape. U-joints I can replace, but if I have to drop money on the other parts I might as well bu a whole shaft.
He definitely did drive it like he stole it, but it does have a pretty damn clean body for a 2nd gen. He also knows his way around a diesel, so I know it was at least maintained.
For those that havn't seen the truck or know him; he's a good friend of mine and lives about 2min from me. Nice truck, but driven hard. It has a pretty ridiculous amount of power.
That said, I talked to him today and it's at the dealership getting the rear main done and a whole bunch of other work.
Really the dealership? I'm going to give him hell for that if he's not getting it done for nothing. :D

Haha! Why doesn't that surprise me?

It was good to meet you on Saturday. As you'll learn there are certain forums and people that just don't "get it" and try to turn everything around negatively. Some have good reason, some not at all.

Oh boy, that's not good. Pictures?

Bill, if you need a short shaft, why not jsut cut down your existing one?

haha, funny you should ask. i was gunna go take a picture with me standing in front of the hydrant so it would look like i was taking a gaint pee into the street from the camera's pov.

I could and I'll probably do that later for a spare. At this point I want to get it rolling. ~3" shorter would be just about perfect and for the going price on a front shaft (~$20-25 or so) it's not worth spending the time to cut down the stocker making sure it stays true.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

its not worth the time to worry about trivial things like that.
I think you just proved my point. :laugh3:
I've seen that. Again, not worth the time when something from a stock application will work with no work. :laugh3:

I'm not arguing with you over this.... I'm going back downstairs to continue working.

oh ok. yea its gonna get skiied off pretty fast with all the people that r there. our tillers only go down and shew in a few inches

and personally i think that us who do the main part of the mtn do a better job than the guys that do south/north peak. all they do is drop the tiller and fly around at top speed.

no no i wasn't trying to say you drank on the trail. i was asking if you were drunk because i couldn't understand your post. all i got was something about NH, a forum, and irresponsible wheeling vid. just poking fun at your verbiage :-p
