THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I finally realized why the video quality of my videos were so crappy, I had the quality set really low on the movie maker import screen.

I already uploaded the videos in high quality again to my computer, I'm just remaking the videos again.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah, I loved legos... I had a whole bunch of lego technics, including the F1 racer / stock car kit :D Used to build all sorts of cranes and whatnot.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i had like a million plain legos that i would just make stuff with and tear apart. There was no real end result for them like the F1 racers have. At the mall that I work at there's a Lego store. When I walk in I feel like a kid again.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That would worry me. With that much metal sitting over my head...........

it's a little wooden buggy that he made in high school. He wishes he had a big block on his headboard.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i still play with lego's

i have a battery powered crawler thingy i tinker with when i'm bored as hell. everytime i rebuild it, it gets more capable

it can climb stairs now

Yeah, most of my projects never had a definite end, I used to love crashing that F1 into things and then fixing it up, and when it wasn't put together I'd build other stuff out of the parts. I had a lot of the pneumatic stuff so cranes and bucket loaders and things were pretty common. When my brother got into the Mindstorms stuff (he was good at saving his money, I wasn't) I was getting pretty good at electronics, so I built a bunch of custom sensor blocks for him.

Also, I just opened a beer with my 3 jaw bearing puller I got a couple weeks ago. Worked pretty well.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

In freshman year of college I had one intro to engineering course which we just played with legos most of the time :D They gave everyone a full technic set and gave us design projects. We had to use the full engineering design process and log/document everything we did... but it was with lego. Our final project for the class was to use the light/touch/etc sensors and program a vehicle that would navigate a "martian terrain" and find a "downed astronaut". The martian terrain was a large box that was filled with gravel and big rocks, hills, etc. We had to start the vehicle in one corner of the box and navigate through the rocks to get to the "astronaut" which was a mini mag light with the lens thing removed.

Was actually a pretty fun project. My team would have won with a record time except an earlier team had got stuck and dug a huge hole next to one of the rocks. Our vehicle fell into that hole that they didn't fill in which added a while to our run. We did get out but ended up getting a 2nd place time. :(

I wondered why some of my videos seemed clearer than yours when I was just using the video mode on a digital camera and you had a real video camera.

And movie maker kicks ass. I finally got it up and running today and it took no time at all to cut the videos down and upload them. The youtube upload worked pretty well. I have to give M$ some credit on that, simple and gets the job done.

i had the same project. ours served as a turret. it could shoot a projectile at a moving target consistently up to about 15 feet away at human running speed

Speaking of legos... just saw this on FML
Today, I went to the store to buy a new lego set, only to find there weren't any left in stock. I started crying before I could make it out of the store. Oh, and I'm eighteen. FML
