Boo, he should've gone with the '04-'05 blob eye. I've also never been a fan of the Wrold Rally Blue.

Haha... there are a few non-American car's I like to dream about. :D

Nice, but rather have the GTO.
Ferrari's are amazing machines to be around. I've only seen and sat in two first hand, but by golly you can't not have your face hurt from smiling. The 430 was selling for more than I could build a pair of garages.
The '06 M3 is selling for $29,990, 49kmiles (which is getting up there for that car).

On a car note, my buddy (some of you have met him) just called me and told me he bought this '06 STI. Stupid stupid stupid.

-you're correct about ferrari's... i've seen 10-15 and sat in 1. talk about trying not to drool.

-that is asking a bit much for that m3.

-i've seen that STi in person. they had it when i test drove a WRX there back in early october. i don't think they came down much in price either. it's bone stock and mint all around. wicked low miles too. i don't think i'd buy that one for myself. i want a driver's car. that thing deserves the life of a garage queen.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the huge front lip on that thing is ghey

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

them cars are nice but id still go for a Viper GTS, or even a new ACR

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that lip is ok... she had a different huge white one on in the thread.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i went to a volkswagen meet and greet thing once with a friend and it was all people saying "yo man i love how your ride rollllssssssss" "man i love how she looks rollinnnn"

Understandable, I just like the way the Camaro looks. Can't explain it, can't rationalize it, I just do. Personal opinion I guess :D

ugh. my vw is my DD. not my project.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Personally I would love a early charger, or really love a 'cuda. but when I mentioned the camaro earlier it was something I would be DD'ing. Yes I am a fan of the old camaro too... but I wouldn't DD one.

I am buying the MJ for my next DD because I want one and it and it will [hopefully] be a pretty easy project. If I had the time and place to build a classic/modernized DD I am fairly sure I would build a 1970 (give or take a year) mustang with a new(er) fuel injected 5.0 through a 5 speed.

I will undertake that build once I get my own place since I would really want to take my time on that one. The mustang isn't even my favorite car... though I really do like it and have had this "dream build" in my head since I was 15. I remember hearing that my aunt might sell her 67 convertible stang that she had sitting in her garage for something like 15-20 years. Needed a bit of work (conv top was damaged, door and/or hinges were damaged, etc) and it was a 6 cyl... but I wanted it for my project. I graduated college to find out she had sold it for next to nothing the year before :( I would prefer a 70 but I would have done it with a 67 if the price was right.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I plan on going bigger than 34s eventually... the 34s are just a "for now cause I have them" tire. Probably 36s next. And I will most likely be an idiot so I would like some insurance :D That and I know I will be going bigger eventually, so I figure why dump money into a 30, I might as well just do it right the first time. The only issue I see with building a d44 is that if I did that I would have no excuse for not building myself a longarm setup at the same time (or buying one, but that's another decision for another day).

My only question is if my 110v welder would be strong enough to weld on control arm brackets, etc. I think it might, it would just be a slow process. Edit: or I would just tack stuff in place and bring it to my friend's place to get it finished up, depends how it's working I guess.

My 08 altima is something like $900 or $950 with full coverage. Jeep is $518 with glass. Would have been $650 for full coverage (but why the hell would I pay for that on the Jeep?) Motorcycles are like $170 for the FZX700 (includes vandalism and other damage) and $90 for the XT350 (very minimal coverage).

However only the altima is street legal right now. Jeep isn't inspected and neither are the motorcycles. Jeep will be inspected once I get more work done. Axle repaired, seatbelts in, mirror mounted, rocker rust repaired, rear quarters cut and folded (to get rid of rust). Motorcycles will be inspected as soon as it gets nicer out. I am pretty sure i will have to tear both of them down and clean the carbs. I may bring the FZX to a shop to get that done so the carbs can be balanced as well.

I feel the need to start shopping for 300s or a couple 231s

Yup. Hmmm, just found D44 flat top knuckles for cheap. Tempting... ugh. I need to stop spending money until I find out what this '67 Charger has for an engine and if it is "the one" :laugh3:

I remember the day I took the plates off the Jeep... they went onto my new car. So it was kindof a bittersweet day; Jeep was no longer street legal but I had a shiny new car... now I hate my new car so it's turned to completely bitter... however the Jeep is also back on the road so it is again, bittersweet.

I am still very tempted to sell the car and pick up an XJ for a DD (hell, or even a stocker YJ or something :dunno:) I just feel like I would miss my 30mpg, though if I could get 20mpg and save $330 per month in car payments it would balance out a bit.

I would love a CTD but I drive 70ish miles per day just for going to/from work so that wouldn't be the most efficient option. I want a truck in general which is why I was looking at an MJ however I would much rather get a truck that is large enough to pull my Jeep around, which leads me to a CTD or maybe even a larger Ford... but that truck would suck for driving to/from work.

AND I wanted it too. :bawl:

But now I am stepping on the full width train so yeah, I guess it kinda worked out in the end :dunno:

I gotta figure out how much $$ I will end up throwing a 44/9 full width setup. I will probably save some $$ by not shortening, but how much is the question. Mostly gotta figure out steering I think  I will continue to make this sound easy until I am bitching and moaning about how much of a PITA it is.

And after I finish the axles I have to figure out the best/strongest way to raise the pinch weld in the rear fenders. Then I am going to try and flare out my stock fenders keeping XJ lines as much as possible while covering the tires so I can keep it street legal (or if I have rock rails by then I may end up just doing tube fenders).

The 9" should be easy in the rear, spring perches will be simple. It should be easy as long as I can figure out the driveshaft (not sure about the u-joints matching up, but that shouldn't be too bad even if I end up with a square shaft for a while).

Once I get the full width 9" in I will PROBABLY be selling the narrow 9" unless I pick up an XJ or MJ and decide to throw a LS1 in there. Then I might keep the stock width 9 for my street vehicle.

Edit: And thankfully I have never spent money on my card unless I had the money to spend (except for one time, but that wasn't my fault... I got billed the wrong amount which over-drafted my account and lead to much debt for a short while). Didn't hurt that I did not have a credit card until after college. No credit card until I had a full time job... until then it was all debit card. Worked well for me (even though it would have been nice to build up credit during college years).

Personally I would love a early charger, or really love a 'cuda. but when I mentioned the camaro earlier it was something I would be DD'ing. Yes I am a fan of the old camaro too... but I wouldn't DD one.

maybe before looking for a mustang you should get your list done first. :gee::D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hahahaha, I was actually kinda half expecting to catch shit for my list of cars I want that is constantly expanding :D

My Jeep is here to stay.
The CTD would be nice but only needed if I end up building my XJ to a point where I need to tow it. And I want to keep the XJ street-able no matter how crazy I get with it. So probably wont get this one
The motorcycles are already owned (might be selling one though).
The "cars I would love" i.e. charger and cuda are cars I know I won't own unless I get filthy rich some day.
The MJ is being purchased tomorrow
the altima wlil most likely be sold once the MJ is fixed (unless I break down and sell the altima for a Camaro, then I would sell the MJ to my buddy who wants to get into Jeeping and help him fix it up)
and the stang would be the build once I have a nice place to take my time with my own garage to work in, so probably won't happen for quite some time.

So I may have alot of vehicles I want and would love to have. Each has it's own purpose. XJ for Jeep trails, XT for bike trails, MJ because i can, Cummins to tow, Altima/stang because I actually do like a car over a truck for some aspects of driving. Doesn't mean I will have them all...

Edit: And that '67 charger was just in there becuase there was a VERY slight chance that it was the 426 Hemi... which would mean that it is a $20,000 car in junk condition. As I said, the charger isn't a hemi so that is off my list (for now :D) And looking at my "list" the only thing really missing is the CTD and the classic cars.. and alot of Jeep parts

As I said, I was expecting it. Kinda surprised it took this long.

Yesterday my boss told me "as soon as you own a house your yard is just gonna be full of old junk cars.. I know it".

I replied "that's why I am looking for a small house with a decent amount of land" :gee:
