THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

go with a aal, any do you have zj springs?
Do I have any? No. I don't.

Though the MJ is already lifted but it's lifted a bit more than I wanted.

Though once I may decide to keep the lift depending on how it rides. It's kinda growing on me a bit I think.

i wouldnt waste my time with zj springs to much time spent tryin to find the ones that actually get you lift spacers are cheap and get the job done well

hahahhaaha

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Guess that's a valid point. I was originally thinking AAL and spacers... but I like doing it with full springs :dunno:

Oh well, we will see.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

dunno the specs on that model, too lazy to google, what's it do? max current? duty cycle? voltage? rated max plate thickness?

EDIT: nm, Anthony knows way more about welding than I do

i'd just keep the lift, and take care of just getting it 100%.with a solid weekend, it would be ready for inspection and wheeling.

oh and im an hour south of lobster's.

Yeah, it seems like something that could be solid after a weekend of work.

Mind you I still haven't seen it, but from what it sounds like, I have a good idea.

I will be seeing if my buddy wants to go up to lobsters this wkend and plan from there. Ill let you know.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

good for a beginner?
hold off and wait for a better deal. and don't get a craftsman welder. good luck getting any support for it. for a beginner welder get:

-lincoln sp135 (that's what i have)
-miller something or other (110V, 140 amp... you get the idea)
-hobart handler 135 or 140 or whatever

if you want to get into welding for big kids, you should look into a millermatic 210. you can put it on 110V or 220V. but they're big $

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

how many times have you done that now? 4? 5?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

first it was green xj on my first black xj
then it was white xj on my green xj
now its new black on my white xj

every rig i have sent to the scrapyard has been driven on though, so add a 99 xj and 1990 xj to that list
