Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Wooo, just got my C&C4 beta key. God damn I hope this game sucks. I don't want to lose my life to another C&C game. I have tried to stay away from RTS for years... maybe just a little more... just a bit... just for a few minutes.. I won't get addicted again...

Hell, I can't afford to get addicted... not with a Jeep (esp since I am getting a 2nd Jeep for a DD... wtf am I thinking? Am I ASKING to have no free time? :rof:)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ill give a decent rate so if someone pays me back in 3 days then they get off with minimal interest, but if they try and screw me over I can screw them over.

And everything would be in writing too :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you gotta put stuff like that in writing

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't charge interest, but then again I only lend money to people I have known for years, me/my brother/friend who used to own the MJ/a few other guys who all were in college with us. Any given week the balance might end up a hundred or two in the other direction, we just sorta figure it out every month or so and set the balances back to zero.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i've actually never charged interest..

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, I don't charge interest with my close friends, most of the times I dont charge at all, but I do get writing if i loan a decent amount to someone I don't know too well. One buddy moved to TX so I bought my hi-lift and some hellas off him at more than market value (aka gave him a couple hundred and he gave me that stuff). He is going to just pay me back the difference whenever he get around to it (if we ever remember ) And honestly, it will come back to me some day, I knwo it will, so I'm not really concerned if he pays me back up front ever. Largely cause I am sure I will forget he ever owed me money

One buddy we would always just hang around, stop by dunkies for a coffee or the local shop for a pizza or sammich. Half hte time he paid, half the time I paid. sometimes he would be broke and I would pay for a couple weeks, soemtimes the other way around.

Then he started always being broke either because he quit/lost his job for not showing up, or cause he spent all his money on some girl, etc. So that plan kinda died. Don't really trust him with $$ anymore. I think he owes me like $100 right now and I just don't give a damn anymore.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh man, I just found an LS1 (with 70k miles), with full wiring harness, computers, electronics, C6 trans, everything... for $2000

Soooo tempting to drop the upcoming tax returns on that (hopefully I get in the $2000 range for the returns). Then pick up some steel, make unibody stiffeners, and drop the LS1 in the MJ.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

2k is about right for one of those. but you won't be able to put the power down in the MJ...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

mark... answer my text! :-p

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I believe I have the "correct bolts".

Mine drives and stops.

:D
You *Don't* have the correct bolts. If you did, they wouldn't have been able to fit through your brake lines.

The whole "at least mine drives" is the most stupid response ever.

that's what i was talking about mark... i'm glad you know what i meant.

i've had that work with metric threads before. but it is sketchy.
This was one of my big problems getting the harmonic balancer off my brairwood, I had a metric bolt that threaded into the threads, but would pull out once I put any tension on it.
Yeah I know what you meant, and I believe it's a metric banjo bolt. My parts guy looked it up in the computer and gave me that one, said it's the only one he's ever given out for GM calipers.

I didn't believe him, but it works. No leaks or anything.
They didn't use metric banjo bolts on Jeeps/chevy in the '70s.
I don't trust your parts guy.

The correct banjo is most definitely a standard thread pattern, NOT metric.

mark... answer my text! :-p

Ugh, I was busy at work/just got home. In a minute.

An AWD MJ through a 242 to some nice 12.50 wide tires would help with that though :D

And I don't need all those horses just for off the line stuff. Sure it would be a blast off the line, but I could also gear it so I could get some great highway economy I'm sure (great in comparison to the 4.0 at least). And I would clearly also need the horses to leave some 12.5" wide stripes down the road....

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i thought about the banjo bolt thing... as long as the pitches are the same i can see how it would seem to thread in.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I actually dislike it when I leave rubber on the ground, means I'm going to have to buy new tires that much sooner :(

Unless they're old worthless tires, in which case more power to you... hmmmmmmmm..... I have a pair of really screwed up 32s I should turn into smoke sometime.

EDIT: yeah, I'd be worried about it ripping the peaks of the threads off and leaving me brake-less suddenly though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I dont like leaving rubber on the ground either, but every once in a while it's OK in my book.

Esp if my buddy did it in his stang and then I did it in an LS1 powered manche and showed him up.

Though at the same time idk if that would be showing him up.. he has a real nice stang.

I want the Manche, then an LS1 under the hood, then some cut down ZJ coils up front to get me to around stock height, then somehow I want stiffer stock height leafs out back.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just finished work. I hate working from home. It automatically means there is a 95% chance that I will be working late.
