THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Too much confusion here...

There was a V10 magnum in the 90s trucks.

Then there was the SRT10 pickup...

same.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Actually very tempting right about now... god damn I have to stop spending money after I buy an MJ and a house and a few other things besides :tears:
FTFY, and I'm in the same boat too...

Looks like the D35 on the MJ is... going to get replaced sooner than I thought. The cover is nearly rusted through I think, both brake bleeders are sheared/rusted off, and it's missing a stud on the right side. Definitely reason enough to replace a D35 :dunno:

Of course this pushes the new axle for the XJ back to the top of the list too...

ANYONE WANNA BUY A D35 WITH STOCK GEARING?! ONLY TWO HUNDRED DOLLAH!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken you're welcome to parts off my 35 in the MJ. It's brakes work fine and have life left. I replaced the passenger side wheel cylinder and have a brand new one for the driver's side. Not going to be needed once I swap my metric ton stuff in.

When are you going to be pulling it? I don't want to rush you putting the new axles in. I'm hoping to get the MJ inspectable in the next two weeks but we'll see, knowing my project schedule adherence that means two months from now.

That is actually probably the most accurate FTFY I have seen yet. That is exactly why I have to stop spending $$ for now.. Because of my house shopping and possibly an MJ down the road.

But that doesn't mean i am going to stop shopping. I think I will "stop shopping" as soon as my XJ is reliable again. I just have to figure out if I am going to swap in full widths or just gear the D30.

So what I have to do now is figure out my axles... that's about all I have left to do I think (there is more I SHOULD do but other than that I don't have much more to spend money on before I can get out wheeling).

Well, that's all other than small stuff like re-installing seatbelts and such. Hell, I have my drivers seatbelt all set, that's all I need. Maybe passenger seatbelt but I got weld spatter in the threads on that side so I have to clean out the threads before I can install anything there.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

tearing apart the xj tomorrow

i hope to get it wheeling on big boy axles, big boy unibody, and big boy tires by sunday

BUT OF COURSE something will go wrong and i will have to order parts and wait til next weekend or some shit

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I hear you there... I went to NAPA and AAP a total of seven times for a pan gasket+filter set, rear seal, and front seal for the new AW4. Their parts databases should be titled "a glorious work of fiction."

Now I'm just being a lazy sack not installing it :dunno: "pretty sure" I have all the parts I need at this point.

i'm at the same point with my ax-15... i'm kinda waiting for it to warm up a bit too so that i don't let RTV set sub 50* (in my basement)...

but then again, i could just bring it into my living room.

DO IT! It's so comfortable and convenient, I only wish I could bring the Jeep into the living room too.

Nothing like beer and a tranny on Friday night...
(yeah, that was intentional, laugh all you want!)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hahaha. nice. i've worked on other things in the living room. i might. i need to put away all my laundry that is hopefully finally dry from when my circuit was sparking on tuesday night. but other than that, i think i actually have time to do it. i cleaned the surfaces already, so i won't need to wirebrush anything. (there will be no wirebrushing in my living room). really just wiping it down, pressing seals in, and putting RTV on the 2 gasket surfaces. (and tightening the whole thing up)

hasn't anyone ever told you that MTR stands for mud trapping radial? and they're really not that cheap...
Hadn't heard that yet, and I saw 37s so I figured I'd post em up :eyes:
