THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah.... I'm not going to ask. IF the front 60 had chromo's I probably would ask. Butttt, it doesn't, and for now I want to spend money on armoring the shit out of this jeep. until it has up to and including a cage, I don't really intend on any drivetrain mods at all. Well, I'm *trying* to resist them, anyway :gee:

atlas :viking:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

atlas :viking:

ugh, I know. After it's got good armor and a cage, I'll get alloys in the front axle, buy some 40s, then blow up a couple 231s before getting an atlas.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sam needs those more than anyone I know :roflmao:

yes

i think when i swap in the 60, i wanna redo the upper coil mounts like vetteboy did and have it setup for air bumps so when i have a little more $$$, i can drop them in.

he ended up bending the mounts anyway even with all his reinforcing. i have had similar issues with my factoryish mounts as well bending every which way.

i has my own way of mounting them that i will use

i was thinking bill could use them... but doesn't he want 2" strokes?

i wouldn't mind putting some sort of a cushier bump than a hockey puck, but it seems like air bumps are the only ones that actually last to abuse... we'll see.

i want 2"

i would be practically riding ON 4" bumps
Yeah Bill has his rear setup for air bumps, not the front (AFAIK).

Yeah they were a huge PITA, and I never aired it out or anything before I had them in so I can't compare. I do know that I definitely come down on them HARD when I land, and I've yet to have a hard uncomfortable landing (except the time at swanzey where I hit a whoop too fast - Bump can tell you how uncomfortable that was lol).

I'd get some progressive polys like Sam used to run.

progressive polys were awesome, but i couldnt figure out how to make them last for more than a couple runs without esploding (talkin about the front prothanes)

i love the progressive polys i run in the rear and its now under my new jeep.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hahahaha, I just posted in that thread :anon:

Colin was actually the local guy who said 80mph on 35s was comfortable... I just figured attaching a name to that was something I'd leave up to the guilty party.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just posted there as well :)

those are in my town and a buddy of mine works for them. im trying to get the owner to open his land for us jeep guys to use but hes been being a stubborn masshole so far and says our jeeps wouldnt be able to handle it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Iroks suck balls, dont waste your money on em

I've seen some suck and some that just fawkin go. It's weird, alot of tires seem to be good in different sizes and terrible in others. I don't know if it's the construction of the tire or what, but to me that seems to be the case. Iroks is definitely an example. Maybe it's just me? :dunno: idk, anyone else agree at all?

ive seen them work well in 36" size but suck major donkey dick in 37 and 39's, you got a good plan with armoring the rig first once you get use to the rig then you will know where to improve and not to

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah exactly. I figure since I need to get used to how it wheels etc, I can focus on protecting it in the meantime. No need to go changing tires when (for all I know) the 37s on it might be great for what I want them to do. Gotta wait and see :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i dont think i ever herd sean say a bad thing about them tires, everytime ive seen them theve kicked ass

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

only ties your allowed to buy for the new rig will be 42" SX's, you have no other choices

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh yeah Bob you still need to borrow a set of tires for inspection? Month's nearly up!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ugh. 42" SXs. thank god I don't have a credit card, I don't even want to thinkkkk about those. Besides, I'd much sooner be buying new 39.5" creepies :)
