THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

woah double/triple posts.

I only bought autozone stuff because I was just going to the closest spot back in the day before I learned better. These days I agree and tend to avoid autozone except for generic sh*t. Speaking of which I should probably replace my tie rod ends and ball joints with non-autozone sh*t.

And I can't seem to find the title for my Jeep. I'm pretty sure I got it back when I got my insurance paperwork and registration.. Oh well, guess I get to call the RMV this week to get another copy if I can't find it tomorrow.

Edit: Wow, what a strange chance of luck. I dug through 99.9% of the papers and envelopes on my desk earlier with no luck finding the title. I clicked submit on this message and looked down at the desk and saw the very corner of a sheet of paper (which looked like a title). Found the title! Now I don't have to deal with the RMV this week! So since late summer 2005 I have put 35k miles on the Jeep's odometer. 1 year with 30's and the remainder with 33's (well smaller than 33's since they are now worn down to 31's... but you get the idea). I wonder how many miles the Jeep actually has :dunno:

naxja has been doing that for me lately on and off. Not sure what the problem is. Seems like half the time it loads fine, the other half the time it takes forever

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it it aint the crappy parts from autozone its the service, if it aint on the shelfs or on the computer they dont got it, if i got to Bond Auto Parts they look though every book they have to find the part from me, and the quality of the stuff they carry is good too

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Due to my terrible experience with a pennsylvania autismzone last sunday I now refuse to go into any autismzone except my local one where the guys know me, and even then only for emergency shit. I might start going there again after calling up the pissed off customer line but I doubt it.

Advance auto parts and napa have both given me the wrong seal/part now, but both gave me the right one with a discount when I came back 10min later.

Droid for the win.

I'm sitting on the side of the road right now while my car has a little time out and thinks about what its done.

I'm pretty sure Advanced carries the moog stuff for TRE's. Go with that although they are like 40 a piece or something rediculous I'm sure. Rock auto probably has the moogs for cheaper.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm just wondering how long it takes before these damn hazard lights make me go crazy, as well as drain my battery.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the former, about 15 minutes in my case...

the latter, a few hours at least.

What did your car do?

Or how long browsing NAXJA kills the droids battery. Which will go first?

Did your tire pee on a off-limits section of pavement?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Aw f*ck me, I just saw that the upper rad hose collapsed rather than letting more coolant flow in

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alright so I finally got back to Boston after stopping one more time.

Great day today, made 3 separate trips to the hardware store which is not right down the street, cracked the timing chain cover, had the oil pressure shoot up to over 80psi every time I hit the accel on the initial test drive after I got it all back together, my little "'hmm, something smells weird,' then pull over and see coolant start pissing out of the overflow" fiasco, and now I have to get up for work in less than 3 hours.

Here is a sweet shot of my old harmonic balancer.
(For those of you who don't know what it is supposed to look like, the inner and outer rings are supposed to be flush, not the roughly 1/4" spacing that exists and the rubber is supposed to be between them.)

dang mark... you're not having the best of luck.

naxja does that for me too sometimes. seems to depend on how much traffic the site is seeing.
