Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hahah yeah. good point. Scott's trailer has tough-ass fenders :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just replaced the hood release cable in the 98, one that went in prob aint gonna last to long, when it goes ill prob just put hood pins in that one too

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So early chevy's and FSJ's have the small bearing spindles, when did they change to big bearing? Maybe I will just go with all chevy outers/knuckles/etc. Use chevy disks, chevy flat tops, etc...

I am sure I am just being dumb but if I were running everything from a [late] 80s FSJ (grand wagoneer), why couldn't I run the big bearing spindles?

its all confusing to me

i always thought chebby and jeep were interchangeable

then i needed a spindle and a buggy of mine gave me a spindle from a same year axle as mine but a chevy.

and it was the correct except for the diameter of the bearing surfaces.

i think ima hood pin mine when i stop trusting it.

when the 96 caught on fire i was able to open the hood, but when the fire was out and i got home the cable was fooked.

and its not exactly easy to get an xj hood open when the cable is snapped/siezed without minimal damage. unless someone has a trick i am unaware of

awesome. will do.

Edit: My only questions is that the thread references swapping from 6 to 5 lug... I was thinking along the lines of keeping it 6 lug, could I keep the big bearing spindles? Guess not. Now I am confused. I think the only way I will figure this out is to go buy an axle and have it in front of me to figure out why it won't work :dunno:

I have heard vague rumors that you can unbolt the latch brackets from the header by going through behind the header panel/removing the headlights, but I haven't verified it yet.

Yeah, I was told "just use a pair of pliers, there's the end of the cable" when I got mine :D Was one of the first things I fixed.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

undersize and oversize reamers for a bunch of stuff.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Robs Hillbilly idea of the day

re route dryer hose into the garage for heat, thoughts?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you'll get a lot of moisture with it. dryers are designed to dump the heat into the dryer itself, not out the hose. that being said, give it a shot while you run a load and see what happens :gee: it might help

I like it, it even includes a humidifier so you won't kill yourself with static electricity
