Sooo I made it back.
Now the fun begins. At this point I'm not sure if I will be in the Jeep at the UJ party, I am hoping to mooch a parents vehicle unless I drive the Jeep for a while tomorrow and feel comfortable that the fuel pump wont die.
So the problems I have found (so far).
- Strange electrical gremlin (F me, I hate these): Turn signal doesn't work. To make it quick. My right turn signal dashboard light stays on all the time, unless I have my turn signal switch telling it that I am taking a right turn. Then it goes off. Also only my passenger rear parking light works, drivers side does not. Time to go ask for help in OEM tech :banghead:
- There is a slight rubbing noise when I turn right. Could very easily just be the dust shield or rust on brakes. It seemed to get better the longer I was out driving, but still... makes me cautious. I am pretty sure I have heard it before, I just don't know what it was. I am afraid it was something like balljoints before. but the joints that are on there now have seen very few miles. so i dont think they should be bad.
- Fuel pump makes noise. I Knew it would, but it seems to make noise a lot sooner than before. I.e. last time I drove it I would hear the pump after I got off the highway during a drive from eastern MA to western MA. Tonight I heard it after only like 30 min of driving back roads. Then again I have to carpet or anything so for all I know it's the same as before.
- Seemed to be some noise from the rear end or something, but then again that could have been the same "right hand turn rubbing".. this sound went away after a few miles so idk. The Jeep also seemed to catch posi alot more than I remember and spun the tires pretty easily. My cargo area is compltely empty so not much weight. Still, I gotta crack the diff and make sure somethings not wrong back there.
- Steering felt sloppy, maybe 1" play in steering wheel. Gotta grease everything up first thing in the morning when I can find a grease gun. see if that tightens anythign up :dunno:
